agreed. i'm not sure this kid got the right advice......tottally outside looking in, but on the surface, it almost looks like he doesn't have a spot.....anywhere....right now.The big problem with waiting is you give programs a chance to shop in the portal for several weeks. If a program stumbles across a player that is more ready to play, especially those with multiple years of eligibility, i think they'll go that route. It will be interesting to see how the Vols approach and fill that spot.
well, i think if they were already sold on him, even as a developmental guy, they'd still take him right now. that they're not, and apparently, neither is anyone else, tells me they ARE going to the portal. who knows though. it may circle back in Feb and he does wind up here?Someone will take a chance on him. Just depends on portal which is like you said terrible for a borderline guy.
Nothing indicates Florida does not want him. They wanted him to sign early and are now expecting him to visit after the dead period with his mother who lives overseas. He had a chance to sign with a playoff team and come be better of a rising program, and instead he messed around and now not even Florida may want him. Another good lesson in the NIL era that’s the juice isn’t always worth the squeeze.
Yeah there was no going back after the entire class pretty much told you to screw off. All the reassuring commitment posts kinda burned that bridge.Yeah but I’m pretty sure Tennessee had a comparable offer.
This dude didn’t vibe with the rest of the recruits because they all went in on him when he decomitted.
I think he made the best choice for him.
Florida needs him more than us.
