He is one of those athletic potential gambles for somebody.

Janzen Jackson is probably the best one we’ve had since Berry and they played together at least 1 year. Gaulden is the only safety that’s been drafted since Berry

Agreed, LBers are getting there, but we need more speed and athleticism at safety...think the coaches didn't have faith in the players that we have that are athletic enough. Obviously a mistake at corner usually leads to a big play but a mistake at safety, lead to massive plays and TDs. I'm not the coach but I think Boo could really shine at safety.

That was the last duo that made it really tough on teams to go down the field. And it was Berry and Moreley before that which was even better. We used to always have really good safeties and since then we’ve had ok ones every now and then. If we can get elite safety play on this current team I think our defense would be the best in the country. Our elite DL paired with elite safeties would make our corners’ and LBs’ lives a hell of a lot easier.

Yep...if we can plug in Will Brooks' football IQ into some of our better athletes that would be great. Hopefully, the guys in the wings will step up during the offseason.
