They stuck with 85 pending settlement of the House v. NCAA lawsuit. SEC maintains 85-scholarship limit for 2025 season ahead of transformative House v. NCAA settlement. Can someone explain to me why the sec would limit 85 if the other conferences are 105? I know there must be a good reason, but what? I’m sure it has been discussed, but I missed it.
thx
Thiugh he wasn't drafted, Jaylen McCollough has had a great rookie season with the Rams. He's recorded stats in every game except Game 1 and has 4 INTs.Janzen Jackson is probably the best one we’ve had since Berry and they played together at least 1 year. Gaulden is the only safety that’s been drafted since Berry
NFL values knowing your assignment, being in the right place, and being a professional day-in-day-out almost more than your raw talent. Many on VN said he didn’t have SEC speed. Somehow has NFL speed tho. Good stuff.
Randolph was pretty solid from what I remember and I’m pretty sure he stuck around a couple years as an UDFA. Him, Todd Kelly, McCollough all fell into that solid but not a game changer category imo. I might be remembering wrong because 2010-2020 Tennessee football all runs together in my headJMO, Brian Randolph was very good. If not for a couple injuries I think he would have been in the league.
TKJ's injuries ended his career. He was a stud as a freshman and sophomore. I think he would've been in the league if he hadn't dealt with that (or jumped off a ledge bc he was mad at his gf - that whole story is still wild to me).Randolph was pretty solid from what I remember and I’m pretty sure he stuck around a couple years as an UDFA. Rams DB Jaylen McCollough may be the best undrafted rookie of 2024Thiugh he wasn't drafted, Jaylen McCollough has had a great rookie season with the Rams. He's recorded stats in every game except Game 1 and has 4 INTs.
Having high football IQ, always being in the right place and finishing the play makes a guy look much faster than he is naturally.NFL values knowing your assignment, being in the right place, and being a professional day-in-day-out almost more than your raw talent.
And when everyone is doing their jobs every play there's less opportunity for a guy who lacks something to get exposed.
If a safety is getting burned at the second level by a ball carrier it's because everyone else failed to do their jobs. Yeah, you love to have an Eric Berry or Ed Reed back there to clean things up but they're few and far between.
Jaylen McCollough always did his job. Rarely made "WOW" plays and wasn't the fastest guy on the field. But always where he was supposed to be it seemed. That's why he played over younger, faster guys.
The NFL is a different level of speed. If you ain’t fast at safety you ain’t playing in the NFL.NFL values knowing your assignment, being in the right place, and being a professional day-in-day-out almost more than your raw talent.

Then pay him. Last thing we need is Florida taking our commitsView attachment 715631
Commitment means absolutely nothing these days. In other words, I have an inkling, suspicion, glimmer or vague notion that I might want to possibly, potentially play for ????? Seems the only thing they are committed to is $$$$
