I doubt there is that much of a difference on the hit rate. the high school freshman may just have to wait longer to show the value.

even the NFL 1st round draft picks are barely over 50% success rate.

Janzen Jackson is probably the best one we’ve had since Berry and they played together at least 1 year. Gaulden is the only safety that’s been drafted since Berry

But several have made NFL rosters since Berry. Coleman & McCullough are two that comes to mind quickly. There have been a couple others.
