Alright, folks. We're going to try something new around here. I thought it would be neat to begin a new weekly tradition here at the politics forum called "Scholar of the Week."
Each week, I'm going to select a member -- someone who contributes regularly to the discussions on this forum -- to field questions from his/her fellow posters. In keeping with the theme of this forum, the questions should obviously be of a political, religious and/or philosophical bent. Questions might range from, "Lefty vs Righty" or "Do you believe in absolute truth?" to "Will Jesus return in our lifetime?" Humor is welcome, but personal attacks disguised as humor will not be tolerated.
Ultimately, this is supposed to be a fun way of getting to know each other better. Feel free to leave comments, but again, please be respectful and don't make this a forum for argument and debate. If you wish to debate any of the points raised by the Scholar of the Week in his/her thread, please begin a new thread.
Our first Scholar of the Week is going to be OWB, who has bravely been volunteered by me to be our guinea pig for this experiment.
And I'll start him off with these questions:
OWB, who is your favorite writer?
What is your favorite book?
What have you learned from your experiences here at Volnation?
