Foley was the gold standard for ADs. That said, sometimes he needed WD40 and a crowbar to pry open his wallet. Stricklin is known for fundraising...never a bad thing.
The way I see it, his job is not to screw up what Foley built, while focusing on brining our football facilities up to par with the rest of the conference.

That's correct.
Foley did an incredible job of adding and improving facilities for non-revenue producing sports.
The Swamp and especially the O'Dome are long overdue for some much needed upgrades.
So, kind of reverse of the way most places do it? The non-revenue sports are generally the red-headed stepchild while football and men's BB get the nice toys?
You could say that, although you can't argue with the success of UF's athletic program as a whole.
We got by with our football and basketball facilities for years primarily because we had elite coaches like Meyer and Donovan running the show. TV money from the SEC network has completely changed the game.
