Like any other coaching gig, and yes as a scout you may need to have some coaching prowess, start at hs. See if any prominent private HS’s need scouts as they offer scholarships. Junior or community colleges and small schools too. Then work your way up. Simply any school that pays money in the form of scholarships needs talent evaluation.
