I know, I know, another list and from Scout no less. But since it's a slow time let's have a look and break it down...

^ Would like to get IMO
Note: Didn't put stars because I generally don't agree with Scout's star rankings and it's still early.

I don't necessarily agree with the order of the list but I don't know enough about each prospect to change it. Many of you know much more about these prospects and their abilities and offer lists than I do.

Who must we get? Who would you like to get? How many in-state prospects should/could we end up with this year? What are your thoughts about this list?

My preference would be Tino Thomas, Derek King, Cam Clear Kyle K, & Antonio Richardson

pretty solid list. I think Bryson and Coleman are too low and Sensabaugh is too high but that's jmo.

I wanna get Richardson, Kerbyson, Clear, Crowder, and Dunaway.

Wouldn't mind to have Downs and King, but they aren't big losses. Dunaway wouldn't be a huge loss either.

Give me Richardson, Clear, Kerbyson, King, Thomas, Crowder, Downs, Robinson...throw in Helton and Wegzyn late as fall backs...

It's a pretty solid year for TN football

We all seem to agree on the top 5 wants, but I'm still trying to figure out the deal with Redden. Something has really turned coaches off since the kid is the top DL prospect in the state which is a huge position of need for us. Have I missed something on this kid?

I meant to put him on my list but forgot...but I am a little leery of putting him on there because like you said he's the top DT in the state, a position of need and yet our coaches aren't pursuing him that hard...at least not according to all accounts...we'll see what happens though

There is some knock on Redden, that's for sure. I don't really know what it is. Alot of people suspect grades.

We will get a chance to evaluate him in a couple weeks cuz his whole team is coming to Knoxville for camp in July.

Great news! Thanks for the update, LV. If he can qualify I'd love for Redden to land in Knoxville.
I thought HLong was too high, but the rest seem about right. Great year for in-state OL. If UT can pull Clear, Kerbyson, and Richardson I'd be very happy.

How many have already committed to other schools?

Of the top 10 Washington, Gibson and Downs...but we're working on Downs

After the top 10 I'm not sure...mostly because we aren't pursuing most of them too hard

Not bad, should be able to keep several in state. Didn't Washington commit to UA, what about the other 2?

I agree on Sensabaugh. He's another local guy with me being in Bristol. He surprised people playing as a freshman but I'm not sure if he's any bigger than he was then. He did o.k. his sophomore year but last year he'd have a good game about every other week or so and then nothing. People say he got hurt or that the other teams game-planned for him but I'm not so sure. Personally, I don't feel top-shelf, D-1 here. I'd be happy to be wrong and be happy for him but I think if his name wasn't Sensabaugh he would have much less attention.

We'll see.

artaves gibson in my opinion is easily the best running back in tennessee. memphis got a good one, complete every down back in my opinion. we should really try to get in on him

Those 3 plus Kerbyson we must get. I'm not sure about Redden's grades though.

3. Washington- Bama
9b. Gibson- Memphis
10. Downs- Duke
21. Lucas Patrick- Duke
25. Shaquille Mason- Georgia Tech
26. Trey Becton-Martin- Southern Miss

Watch out for David Cutcliffe at Duke. Downs and Patrick have already committed to Duke and three more, Kerbyson, Clear, and Wegzyn all camped there. Duke's camp was the only camp Kerbyson went to. I know many on these boards laugh at these guys going to Duke but Duke has a lot to offer. To the academic guys, it is a great school -- far better than UT (just look at the U.S. News and World Report Rankings). But, the thing Duke has that is most concerning is David Cutcliffe. The man is a football genius and has produced numerous NFL players. I am afraid of Duke regarding recruiting, personally. Just my HO.

I AGREE 100%. I actually took my son up to camp at duke today and yesterday we stopped by the DC QB College. And guess who we saw Robinson, Patrick and Wezgen were standing talking to Cutcliffe. It kinda shocked me to see so many Tennessee boys. IMO Duke lands KK, CC, CR, LP, and MW( if offered)
