Hmmm...funny they should omit anything about the Safeties. With Nico not scrimmaging due to a stomach bug, Gaston Moore got his most intensive work and took care of the ball and operated well. Jake Merklinger got more snaps as a result as well.
Offensively, Tennessee was cleaner than they were in scrimmage one and took care of the ball pretty well.
Tennessee went through a bunch of situational football including situations like halftime and TV timeouts for the coaches with thall the changes they are having like the in helmet communication, ipads, etc. Heupel noted there are more changes this year than in previous years.
On the offensive line, Lance Heard scrimmaged for the first time as he continues to builds towards the opener. Getting in game shape is needed for Heard. Andrej Karic scrimmaged as well which was important for him as the battles for the starting left guard spot.
Heupel noted he liked the work of DeSean Bishop and Peyton Lewis at running back. Donte Thornton according to everyone we spoke with had the most productive day at receiver. Squirrel White also had a solid day and so did Bru McCoy, who did scrimmage.
Defensively, Joshua Josephs continues to have a good camp and had a good day on Thursday. At linebacker, Arion Carter showed up. Jeremiah Telander also took advantage of Keenan Pili not scrimmaging and had a solid day.
In the secondary, with Rickey Gibson being limited this week, Tennessee's secondary rotation included McCoy at one corner and the other corner was a rotation of Jalen McMurray and Jordan Matthews. They also rotated evenly at star with Boo Carter and Christian Harrison.

Yea the most concerning position - safety- and not a word. Must be bad.
Better get the team managers to get the numbers on his jersey to match. Maybe even give him a number that is on the roster! This guy says never mind that, he's ready right now. I called him a liar because he has his oranges all mixed up.
Said he, "Ready anyhow,"

I'm so confused. Is he playing for the Browns with 49ers pants on? Also since when can a player have 3 different numbers on one jersey? This guy says never mind that, he's ready right now. I called him a liar because he has his oranges all mixed up.

It's Peyote, said Mary Jane was too finicky.I'm so confused. Is he playing for the Browns with 49ers pants on? Also since when can a player have 3 different numbers on one jersey?
32 (or maybe 37) on the front, 62/29 on the right shoulder, and 52/25 on the left?
Wait. Nm. Im pretty sure he took too much peyote and this is interdimensional play.
No turnovers with Gaston at the helm. Sounds like we have a new starter. Initiate the QB controversy. One of the posters on 247 was apparently a guest, and said on the defensive side that stood out were West, Okoye, Spillman, Jenkins, Josephs and Hobbs. Said that when Pearce was not in he was coaching Ross, who is really looking the part.
PB said Thornton made a great play on a 60 yard TD that was well defended by Matthews, and he later made a big catch on McCoy despite good coverage. There were zero turnovers by the offense
Oklahoma cant say the same thing about their offense. Apparently their QB has issues turning the ball over. I happend against Arizona, it happend again in their spring camp. Then on friday during their fall scrimmage he tossed 3 ints once in which was a pick 6.No turnovers with Gaston at the helm. Sounds like we have a new starter. Initiate the QB controversy.
This is shaping up to be a match up nightmare for them. Hereās to hoping at least.Oklahoma cant say the same thing about their offense. Apparently their QB has issues turning the ball over.
