Scrimmage lacks energy

They just had a tiresome, physical scrimmage Saturday, I wouldn't really expect everyone to be fresh and light-footed yesterday.

I'm just glad we got of the scrimmages without a major injury.

Given the fact that UT was only 72 hours removed from a very physical scrimmage, a sluggish performance is no real surprise. Three days is simply not enough time to fully recover. Ainge's mental toughness along with the OL remains my biggest concern.

Again, too much made out of a slow practice. They cannot go all out in every practice. They'll get hurt (Amen to no injuries - Kiddiedoc) and they'll peak to early. This is the double edge sword of instant updates before gameday. Like to see them but the down turns worry folks. They are to be expected.

I thought ainge's comment that the energy level starts with him was pretty mature. A good sign. Seems like Crompton is fitting in well should he be needed.

We won't need him but he will get plenty of 4th qtr playing time. I think he gets some wrap up duty on the 16th of September.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Vols carve out some PT for Crompton even if things go well for Ainge. Sort of like UGA did a few years ago for Shockley.
