I have thought dude was the best play-by-play guy for probably 15 years - baseball, basketball, but especially college football.
I don't understand why he is so low on the totem poll at ABC/ESPN.

I got to sit right beside him for the 1st and 2nd round of the women's NCAA Tournament in 2006. Essentially I was the gopher for him, Doris Burke and Holly Rowe. Real classy guy, seemed genuinely nice and knows a lot of sports information. A

he's probably my favorite play-by-play guy to listen to in football. i loved it when he called alot of our games in '98.

He's 1000000000x better than Brent Turdburger, that's for sure.

He, along with Gus Johnson and Ron Franklin top the list of great broadcasters out there at this present time.

I got the opportunity to meet McDonough at the Div-1AA Championship game last year, here in CHatt, and was very impressed. He was a very nice guy. I think he does a great job, as well.

Wasnt he the one that called the Stoerner fumble?

I remember as a kid, McDonough worked as the Play by Player for WSBK out of Boston, the Sox flagship at the time, so he was the first guy i ever got used to hearing, and few compare since.

I would love it if McDonough replaced Kesling....One can dream.

I will never forget his call in 1998 of the Arky-UT game when Stoerner fumbled.
