The Talent on this team is not that good. I honestly believe if we had Fulmer coaching this team we would have went 4-8. I was down after this loss like everybody else but have gotten over it quickly because I am so exicted to see the team Lane puts on the field 2-3 years from now. SPEED SPEED SPEED. We lack it and it was evident. Now next year might be a lot of the same but our players will have another year of learning under this system. 7-5 next year won't be a disappointment in my mind with the players we have coming back but the key is just improvement and recruiting.

I agree with us lacking speed...the next two to three years we are still in a rebuilding mode...this program is going in the right direction and we need to give CLK time to get his players in his system...we will have fair-weather Vol fans condemning Kiffin...remember, he has only been here 13 months...it takes a little time to rebuild when the cupboard was left almost bare...Go Big Orange!

I agree but I think it's a combination of speed, size, and strength. I think we lack all 3 to be honest. VT pushed our lineman around all day yesterday like we were on rollerskates. It was very reminiscent of the Nebraska bowl games.

i agree bringing in talent will get us to the top. one thing that frustrates me is that watching the auburn/NW game and the result of our game.. if we would have played NW i bet we would beat them. it would create better matchups for both games and i think auburn/VT would be pretty close.. oh well haha

Watching the game in person last night, you could just tell that we were out athleted. The lack of talent on the team showed big time. We did a few things real well but as the talent level improves the scales will tip.

Well apparantly we will be losing out on alot of talent cause Kiffin did a drive-by handshake on Beamer, thus making recruits parents think twice about letting their 5-Star kid come to Tennessee.

Oh, and helicopters only piss off parents too. We better learn the rules or we are screwed.
