Thanks. I believe Tennessee is somewhere in the top-five as far as total players in the NFL. Not bad for a team that hasn't been relevant on the college football stage in 10 years.

What gets me is the top-end talent from the Dooley era. The skill players went last year and the OL will go this next year. Lotta good players there.

And how many were from the defensive side? There's the problem. UT scored quite a few points in 2012....but so did the other teams.

Yep. Had the defense even been just bad, instead of historically awful, the Vols could have won 9-10 games.

Obviously the qualifier there is "could have," but we're on the same page.
