I see a lot of people complaining about the coaching staff. It reminds me of a saying that sums up this season, situation, and most fan's lack of comprehension.

"Anybody can make a great soup with great ingredients, but not even the world's best chef can make a good soup out of sh*t."

Allow the staff to at least get 2 recruiting classes under their belt before you start embarrassing the entire fan base with your stupidity. You're allowed to be mad but don't be unrealistic.

The first thing we need to determine is if we have hit Ground Zero or not and build from there. CBJ does think so and we will know at the end of this season was or not.

The second thought is what does CBJ final product look like and will it be a team that once he has his pieces into place to win National Championships, SEC.

Third, how many if any changes/adjustments will he have to make to get there.

Fourth get his pieces here, wait and see. If his vision for UT football is what you want then support him, if it is not, then GTFO. Right now he is the HMFIC, he is not going anywhere anytime soon so accept it or move on.

I think for at least one half of the Georgia Game and for the most part of USCe game we saw where he is headed. He did so without his players.

Talent, discipline, conditioning and team building all take time and patience. Most see it but some are not willing to
Wait it out. Not willing to wait, or the sky is falling, or you can accept mediocracy. Do you think CBJ accepts mediocre effort, hell no.

Don't you think he wants the same thing you want as a fan.
Difference is he is the In charge and all some of you are just a gnat on an elephant's ass.

You're right. Don't expect the coaches to ever coach up the players. Tennessee should only be expected to beat teams when they have way more talent than their oppnents.

Good mindset.

you can coach them to play smarter and to not get embarrassed three weeks in a row and multiple times over the course of the season.

I agree. I mean we still have not lost to anyone we were supposed to beat. Yesterday was hard to watch on defense and special teams. But I cant say it had to do with the staff. I mean the coaches weren't givving up returns and letting touchdown drives go in two running plays. There is just an extreme lack of talent on that side of the ball. Which is sad considering how young the offense is and there is still more talent there

Smarts will get you a long way, sure. But I think we have some of that. I mean there are some guys plenty old enough to have "figired it out." But all the football iq in the world won't get you in position to make a play. Gotta have the physical part too

Other than recruiting a top 5 class for 2014, the jury is still out on Jones coaching ability. The jury returned an impersonating talent verdict on this years football team.

The season summary could be made on a DVD easily. Just record the sound of a toilet flushing. Pretty much sums it up. You can't play SEC level football with a JV team with major holes. Especially with a new coaching staff that for the most part has not coached in the SEC.

Last three games, is a great example of where you don't get it. Rankings aside.

We were physically dominated and handled by both AL and MO. You don't need 4 or 5 star players to do that You need a system, coaching, conditioning, individual taught technique, experience and teamwork. Of course, speed is always a factor.

With Auburn, we were outplayed off the LOS, with speed and power but Auburn is a great team but does not play power football they play soft and fast. Finesse football. They will be eaten alive by Alabama.

I am not going to argue talent, speed, coaching or any other area.

We just don't have it, so why discuss it. When we get the players here and they are coached up and programmed for success then we can fairly evaluate our team.

If I tell you to cook a 5* meal with only half the ingredients needed to do so, then I have programmed you and me for failure.

Doesn't mean the effort is not there, we have no idea if the players executed the correct defensive game plan or not.

Don't you think the DC knew Auburn would run it down our throats and planned accordingly.

CBJ talks about mental toughness. He needs to talk to the fans about realism and emotional toughness.

Sometimes I think that the small percentage of fans on this site represent the total Fan base of Our team. That is my mistake because some don't have a clue and their opinions are just emotional reaction and stirs drama or chaos.

I love Tennessee but I also would like to see the approach taken that if you don't have the talent to play in the SEC then you should look else where. To many MAC and CUSA players on this roster.

To many LA Tech type players here. That is the bottom line.

Do you think CBJ are recruiting MAC and CUSA type players?

@ Sudden Impact:

The problem that you are missing is that you don't cook a 5* meal if you only have half the ingredients. You change your menu and cook the best of what you have. You change your plan.

Your best staff in America has failed to do that on every level. They have tried to force this garbage offense down the players throats instead of changing to use the current players strengths.

At the very least, this staff should have the offense working good enough to sustain drives. But they are dead set on this horrible spread. They can't convert the tough yards.

You can't make slow players fast...

True. But you can still teach them the best angles to take considering the guy they are trying to tackle is faster.

When you add poor angles to slow feet you get embarrassed. That's what yesterday was.

Just said this in another thread:

Justin Wilcox turned Nick Reviez into a credible SEC LB.

He must be a master chef to Jancek's part timer at the Waffle House.
