It seems like this year has been more brutal on key SEC players:

Justin Hunter: ACL, out for the year.
Tyler Bray: Broken thumb, out 4-6 weeks.
Knile Davis: Knee, out for the year.
Marcus Lattimore: Knee, out for the year.
John Brantley: Leg, out for several weeks.
Kentucky Offense: everything, out for the year.

Can anyone else recall such a string of injuries?

2005. UK had 36 season-ending injuries. Those poor guys really had it rough.

Thirty-six? Wow.

I think UT had something around 19-22 season-ending injuries in 2002 and I thought that was high.

It is. 36 is just ridiculous.

Shortened roster due to probation forced them to play a lot of younger guys that didn't have the physical maturity yet to play in the SEC. Way too many torn ACLs that year.
