Congrats to the Vols! I shamefully admit I expected an upset against you guys, and am most pleased to be shown wrong. Hell of a game tho. Congrats to the Gators, and the Crimson Freaking Tide, and last and awesomest, my Tigers. Congrats to everyone for making it to the Terrific 32. (I realize that's reaching, but it's an accomplishment, especially for my team.)

LSU vs. Tennessee in the Championship match. book it. :crazy: :dance2: :dance: :yahoo:

even better, the big least is 0-3. so much for most dominating conference.

LSU was looking rusty in the first half... but no scare like the Vols got.

Way to go SEC! Keep it up tomorrow!

Arkansas has a toughy tomorrow against Bucknell and Kentucky has a good one against UAB coming up. I got SEC 5-1 out of the first round, with Arkansas falling to the Bison. Not too sure about that one though, SEC could go 5-0.

I only got LSU and Tennessee going past the 2nd round though, which IMO tells the story of the SEC this season. Not as bad as everybody thought. Ultimately, just filled with a bunch of solid teams with nothing special. LSU to the Elite 8 though.

I really like this and bowl season. It's good to see that most SEC fans like to see the conf. do well. There are always those who can't see how it helps but overall it was a good day. I see 5-1 with UK losing to UAB. The Blazers are a very solid team.

i have to admit, after Bama gave up that 17 or 14 pt lead, i found myself not happy when they won....but it is good for the SEC....and who the heck is Jean Felix anyway? dude blew up.

the only sec team i have losing in the first round is kentucky, with smith at coach i think uab will outplay them.

I wouldn't get too fired up on the "Big East is overrated" bandwagon. The three teams that lost yesterday are probably the three worst Big East teams in the field. Lets' see how they do once UCONN, Villanova, etc. get started.

Funny enough, I pull for every SEC team in the tourney unless they are playing the Vols. 2 UGA fans were in the gym here at work when I was down there watching the Tennessee game. Acting like typical UGA fans, they were cheering against Tennessee and after we won, proceeded to call them a bunch of thugs. About what I get from UGA fans down here all the time.

i usually root to for all the sec teams if they are not playing the vols, except florida. i hate them in every sport. :devilsmoke:

After being repeatedly dissed by the media experts for being "down" this year, it is good to see the SEC have some success.
Still, it is only the first round. While this is a good showing, it can't really be called "making a statement".

In a situation like this, I like to see 'em all perform well.

Well, Arky is working on breaking this... Bucknell is making everything they throw up.

Having that talent coached by Stan Heath is an absolute waste.

Bucknell is solid..wouldn't surprise me to see Arky go down...SEC has done very well so far..but it's still too early...the BE is 0 for..but they could rebound with two Final Four teams.

Can't discount the ACC either. Or even the Big Ten since Ohio St. survived today. Lots of good teams out there. This is shaping up to be a good Tourney.

I never discount the ACC..they have won 3 of the last 5 NC's, and have had atleast one team in the FF for 5 outta 6 I believe.
