Where’s the Heisman finalist?

Unlike every Georgia fan I know, Stetson Bennett is a class act and has had a great career at Georgia. He has handled the QB job and everything that comes with it very well. I wish him nothing but the best.

But, I hope y'all lose in the first round of the playoffs and that you never post on this board again.

There are two kinds of college football fans: fans of Ohio State and those who hate Ohio State. For you to root for Ohio State you must really hate Georgia (or me). I'll probably post here win or lose.

Agree and me too but he shouldn’t be the Heisman finalist ahead of Hooker. No way No how.

He looks real classy every time he showboats after a big play, with that smug, punchable look on his face, and wagging his arms.

He is the type you love to pull for, but he makes it impossible for me with his antics.

Georgia fans did not rush the field in Knoxville.

No one said they did. That guy said UGA never stormed the field when they broke the 9 game losing streak in Neyland. Said he was there.

That streak was broken in Athens in 2000 and the fans did storm the field.

Hence the reason I called him a liar.

UGA broke the road streak...he didn't say which streak. Someone else here (a Vol) has been saying Georgia fans rushed the field after a win on the road.

Even that is absurd. Young is a much better QB and it isn’t close.

Saban has to be worried. Kirby’s crew now getting all of the ridiculous bumps that Bama once got.
Young is a better athlete. Better QB? Not so sure.

I’m more than sure. Young is A MUCH better QB and it ain’t close.

Then I guess it must be the coaching game plans. Georgia had the #2 ypg offense in the nation going in to the week of UT, before Kirby opted to run the clock out instead of running the score up.

If you’re making excuses, there’s a reason.

Hooker>Young>____>Bennett.

Wait til draft day when Butts are on the line. You’ll see

Draft has nothing to do with it. I guess you thought Charlie Ward wasn't a great QB at FSU.

Oh, and what do mean excuses? I was just pointing out who also has the superior coaching staff.

The statistics simply do not backup your statement, as I will show at the bottom.

Obviously, Young has more potential and was, over much of the 2021 season, a better QB than Bennett. He didn't play better than Bennett when it mattered the most, and that's truly been the case again in 2022.

Bennett has been the beneficiary of 6 years of eligibility and growth, while Young is just 3 years removed from high school. If Young somehow remained healthy and was granted 6 years to play college football, then by that point his mental development and physical skills would potentially rank at an all-time level.

Bennett has been able to play above his own arm talent because of his mental recognition on the field. He's played 6 years of CFB.

Bryce Young's 2021 Heisman Year:

2021 Bryce Young
547 pass attempts
8.906 ypa.
QB rating 167.5
TD for every 11.638 attempts

2021 Stetson Bennett
287 pass attempts
9.972 ypa
QB rating 176.7
TD for every 9.896 attempts
1 National Championship

Bennett's stats if Georgia had allowed Bennett to throw the ball as much as Young? 5454 yards 55 TDs compared to Young's 4872 yds and 47 TDs

I do realize this is a little bit like saying if a hitter had 45 hits in only 100 at bats that he would easily have 200 hits if given 500 plate appearances. The numbers actually suggest Bennett regressed in 2022, but he still has a higher ypa than Young 8.670 vs 8.376.

Bennett has also won 3 more games than Young in 2022. So there's that.
