I attended the Auburn-Tennessee Tech mid-week baseball game in Madison Al's minor league ball park last night. 5.5k rowdy fans attended 3 hours away from Auburn University on an uncomfortably chilly night. Lots of local fans but it show the draw of college baseball in general. LNS is never full mid-week and lots of unused sold tickets are visible on weekends. C'mon Knoxville!

Seems like, based on the score, fans got their monies worth.

Weather can play a huge role during early spring. I too, was disappointed with a couple of our early midweek crowds.

It was a great game. Fun to be kinda neutral (my wife's an auburn grad.)

To your point, we have a a pinned thread, as a way to give/sell tickets atop the forum here. But your point is well taken, it’s on the shoulders of the season ticket holders to make the effort. If you can’t make the game, make sure there is some Orange sitting in those seats!

GBO!!!

My sons and I will go any time that ppl need orange butts in seats! Any sporting event gets expensive with 4 boys. Lol

Yes, LA has a warmer climate and weather definitely is a factor. At no point in my lifetime has Auburn ever successfully outdrawn Tennessee in any sport, in general.

Mother Nature has been unusually cruel for the non conference. Seems it gets cold every weekend after a mild week. The home opener was the second coldest baseball game I've ever been at other than a Cubs season opener when it was snowing and the wind was howling.

One of the coldest baseball games I attended before moving to San Francisco was Wrigley on a Memorial Day Weekend with the wind blowing in from the lake. A couple in Baltimore as well. But dozens of night games I went to during summer in SF were awfully cold.

And welcome aboard.

Thank you! Glad I found the board.
