Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt? Too bad Elon or Slippery Rock are not SEC schools, they could dominate the schedule too! Jefferson Pilot and the SEC should be able to make adjustments for the hot teams...such as...THE VOLS!

Sorry the TYPO in the heading!

Agreed...I ordered ESPN Full Court hoping to see some Vols games and so far I've seen like 3....Full Court should carry ALL SEC games..

I'd be surprised if we don't see alot more UT on national & JP tv next season.

If Tennessee finishes strong in the NCAA tourney and with the recruiting class coming in UT could have 95% of their games Televised. Maybe 99% of their SEC games. :D

In fairness, don't they pick their TV schedule at the before the season starts?

At the beginning of the season, Kentucky and Vanderbilt looked like it'd be a more meaningful game in the middle of February than Tennessee and Georgia.

:D The way tenn. played last year is the reason they have no tv time this year. We will see them more next year.Kentucky like a Duke will always get tv time.

We love the Vols but alas a lot of other states do not. Give Pearl time and he will gain alot of fans and more tv time for Tenn.

I agree with what everyone has said about last year...and past years...but my point is that they need a bit more flexibility in order to adjust when teams do not perform. I have been in that business, now with satellite uplinks and the availibility of television production trucks, they could move the schedule around with just a bit of planning for such moves. Otherwise, SEC television/JPS does a pretty good job..we are lucky to have them.

This is a pretty good point. They do it for football. :dunno:

TV schedules are not made "on-the-fly," and we were miserable to watch last year. Next year will be a different story.

Yeah doc, but the point is that they sorta CAN be. The football TV schedule isn't set in stone until a couple of weeks before each game... the different outlets pick the ones they want, and leave the rest.

This isn't really feasible for games scheduled during the week, but it sure is for Sat. games! Why should UK-Vandy get the nod over UT-UGA? Anyone could have seen weeks ago that ours would have been the better game, the schedule could have been adjusted accordingly. I think they're just scared to upset the 'Cat fans... if there are any left.
