We are 13. 13. Ahead of Vandy and only Vandy. (#ourstate haha) I know it's common for these guys to overreact based off the previous day's results, but really? I hope they don't actually believe we are the second worst team in the SEC behind Arky and UK.

Dude, you've gotta be a Vandy fan. You've done nothing but troll this board with every single comment I've seen from you.

Been here for a while, was optimistic is seasons passed. But now I'd rather expect the worst so the least bit of success surprises me.

We'll get our chance to move up when we take on Georgia. We really need to take down UGA or Florida to have a chance at a bowl. There are no sure wins in the SEC this season outside of Vandy.

Our season really hinges on beating the likes of Missouri, Ole Miss, Kentucky and Florida. We can beat Georgia and South Carolina but it's going to be tough with both games being on the road.

If d***** couldn't even stoop to 4-8 I highly doubt CBJ would in his 2nd year, with the east as wide open as it is.

Agree. Kentucky will be tough this year.

With our sample size it's too small to mean anything at this point. So we're somewhere between Utah State/Arky State and losing to OK in Norman. That's a pretty wide gap. Let's say we play a few more games before any of these types of observations are given any credibility at all. Hell, only a few weeks ago OSU was #5.

Although I don't agree we are the 2nd worst team in the conference, you can make a case that the teams ahead of us deserve to be there. Kentucky has improved a lot, Arkansas can put up points and really run the football, and who else should definitely be behind us? This conference is wide open right now with 7 teams in the top 15. I wouldn't put much stock in these rankings so early in the season. Everything will sort itself out over the course of the season.

I had to eat crow yesterday. Since I was 6 I HATED Kentucky, I would rather beat them as anyone. I said I would never pull for them, yesterday I was praying they would hand Fla their @**!

:eek:lol:

Another example of trolling would be for a rival fan to make an account and instigate with claims such as "After we take out Georgia in a couple of weeks, we'll shoot way up."

He said we COULD be 4-8 or 7-5. You said we WILL beat UGA. I think your statement is even more asinine.

I've been a regular poster on this board since '09. Try again buddy. We have a very realistic shot of taking Georgia out after what I witnessed last night.

So now it is a realistic shot and not a matter of fact?

I realize you are not a troll, but I was just calling you out for criticizing someone, and then saying we beat Georgia as if it were a matter of fact. Whether or not we have a shot against Georgia had nothing to do with it.

Vols need to win three home SEC game mad at least one on the road to make a decent bowl. Going to Georgia and coming back with a win would be huge for them.

What I'm saying is, yes, I think we beat Georgia. I used "realistic" on that last post because it should be obvious to all Vol fans that it's at least a good possibility after our performance against the best opponent we'll see all year.

Gotta win at least one game against a quality opponent before we can complain about power rankings, c'mon guys...

After watching a bit of the UF vs UK game, I think they both are very beatable. IMHO, the Vols bowl chances have increased after the weekend. In fact, the QB performances so far of SECE teams makes most of them winnable.

Its hard to gauge UKs performance when we aren't even sure if UF is worth a crap. No way you put them over UT. UT has a good defense and OU would have blown them.out.

But I have more of a problem with Arky. Their D iss horrible and they dont throw the ball. Their loss to Aub is worse than our loss.
