Currently, the SEC holds an impressive 7-2 record for bowls with the NC playoff game yet to come. Half the SEC teams to lose a bowl fired their head coach, LOL.

LSU completely destroyed the idea of parity in college football, or that there should be an 8 team playoff.

Aside from that win, which bowl win was most impressive in your eyes? I thought UGAs victory over Baylor was the most impressive. Baylor continues to be a media darling and Georgia, despite having a large number of starters sit out, handled Baylor and shut down their high octane offense.

The bad take away is that things don’t seem to be getting any easier in this league. UTs climb will be difficult due to the depth of quality programs in the league.

The Big 12 was way overrated.

Notre Dame or Georgia should have been in the Playoffs instead of Oklahoma

Alabama winning convincingly against Michigan is nice. Another nail in Harbaugh's coaching coffin is good. Michigan's fanbase is as bad as UGA, an irrelevant program that keeps acting like they are.

UGA's a lot more relevant than Michigan is, they've been in the playoff and have won their conference recently. They also don't lose to nearly every good team they play.

Depends how you look at it. At least they won a national championship in the past 25 years. Still not enough to be relevant, but a lot better than 40 years. At least half the planet that was alive then is not dead now.

Y'all are just sore cause they are beating you. We can all laugh about 1980, but they're not irrelevant.

Hate to disagree, especially because it’s UGA but being one of the top 6-7 in the country probably top 5 and having a top 3-4 recruiting class 3-4 years says they are relevant

Georgia played well and they did have a lot of players out... but Baylor only scored 17 points at home vs West Virginia (who finished 5-7). Their offense was not as good as the Big 12 made it look at times. That is always the case with the Big 12 in bowl games. I agree we don't need a playoff expansion. I just don't like how long they are waiting in between the semi-finals and the championship game. Why wait two weeks? The game should be tomorrow night.

Our offense has been weak all year except for the Texas and Kansas games. With the exception of the first OU game, what you saw in the first half of the Sugar Bowl was basically the 1st half of every game we played this year.

Matt Rhule needs to fire his college roommate (OC Nixon) or take him to the NY Giants with him. Nixon's act is getting old.

Bowl Results by conference:

ACC > 4-6
AAC > 4-3
Big 12 > 1-5
Big 10 > 4-5
CUSA > 3-5
Independents > 2-1
MAC > 3-3 (Current w/1 game left Jan 6)
MWC > 4-3
PAC 12 > 4-3
SEC > 7-2
Sun Belt > 2-2 (Current w/1 game left Jan 6)

SEC and ACC will add one more conference post season win/loss with NC title game.

I'd guess it's fairly typical for conferences to hover near either side of the .500 mark in post season bowl play. So, the SEC going 7-2 is lights out compared to the other conference records. Big 12 laid a huge egg. Big 10 started strong and wiffed it down the stretch. At the end of the day, the SEC and PAC 12 will be the only two P5 conferences with winning bowl records for 2019.
