To the VOLNATION...

UT has played both LSU and GA. What is your view of this SEC matchup in the ATL?

Talent edge to LSU; Coaching edge to UGA.

Very tough to call - Arkansas game may have been a wake-up call for LSU.

Toss up IMHO.

Both teams have looked good one game and ugly another game. I'd edge to LSU in this game. They seem to have the skill and experience across the board while UGA has it in only certain positions.

The advantage UGA has is field position and special teams. Both areas UGA has seemed to master well throughout the season. If they can keep that in this game, they'll win but barely. After looking at the game last night and the LSU game the other day, this will be a slugfest with a low score and a lot of vicious hits and injuries. UGA got away with a few late hits and some non-calls last night. I think they'll be held accountable next Saturday with full attention by the zebras.

LSU has been a very hot/.cold team this year, and often in the same game. Ive rarely seen one team look so good one quarter and so sloppy the next. Russel may have one heck of an arm, but he doesnt seem to have complete control of it. On the other hand, I dont think Georgia has the same talent level to compete if LSU gets hot. I would give the edge to LSU in a game that could just as easily be a one sided victory as a defensive battle.

It depends on what half of the game LSU decides to play. They never play hard the whole game. I think UGA is more consistent. I also hate LSU so I will be pulling for UGA. Sorry!! lol

This game is so close to call. Lsu plays great at night, but the games' in Georgia, LSU's defense is better, but Georgia has Richt. I say Georgia on a long field goal, possibly in OT.

If Shckley is 100% the Dogs win. It will be close but I believe the talent is even, Richt is a better coach than the new guy at LSU.

The way LSU beat our tails last time we were there I would love to see some pay back. I just hope our defense shows up. Against Auburn the run defense was horrible but against Tech it looked better.

i think lsu has more talent, it was truly an act of God that we some how, some way found a way to beat them in the second half. i agree with a previous post that the arkansas game for lsu was a wake up call and i would bet that they may have been looking slightly past arkansas and they will finally put a full game together for the SECCG. lsu by 10

The biggest problem is the Big Least champ will be placed in the Sugar Bowl with the winner. WV has done good but I had rather the SEC champ play an Oregon or someone who is going to get left out of the B©S who appears to be more deserving.

That West Virgina team (conference) shouldn't get a bid. Soft conference.

Well, if it's the LSU team that came out in the second half of the UT game, Georgia will roll...

But I don't think anyone expects that. Should and hopefully be a close, low-scoring game. Couldn't pick a winner, and I won't necessarily be pulling for one team over the other.

The Big East Champ shouldn't get a BCS bowl period. They should have taken that out when took VT, Miami, and BC out of it. West Virginia doesn't deserve a BCS bowl. How wrong would it have been if South Florida won their game and got a BCS bowl???

Crazy... :disappointed:

I am glad to see both teams play the game without the week off. It's never been fair when Auburn or Alabama is in the championship game and playing with a week off before the game since UF,UT and UGA all play the week before.

P.S. I think Les Miles is underrated as a coach and LSU will win.

I think the SEC game will be pretty close, but I give the edge to UGA. They seem to be a more disciplined, solid, and efficient team. LSU runs hot and cold and makes too many glaring mistakes.

Unlike many of late, I don't see a big LSU talent advantage. I think both teams are about equal. If I had to give anyone a talent advantage, I think LSU has a better front 7 (especially D-line). But UGA is much better at QB -- which can be the difference in games like this. It's the QB position -- and Richt -- that tilt it in UGA's direction for my money.

But this is a toss-up game.

I think Auburn would beat either team in this game, for what that's worth. They are a dangerous team right now -- top 5.
