Art Briles will coach the Mizzou Tigers.

That will be his quickest opportunity to get out of Waco.

Just read an article with some recent comments from him and he sounds like he is already carrying the SEC flag.

He's had a tough road starting from an early age and has done well for himself. I think he can coach well, and if he has the type of talent he had with RG3, he'd be comptitive. He's a bit of an ass, but I'd venture to say most coaches have that trait in them.

We have been exposed to it probally more than most based on proximity and overall disdain for all things Baylol.

The games I've seen from them (granted VERY few), the D sucks and they play down to the level of competition.

I don't recall RG3 being highly recruited out of HS. He caught lightening in bottle. If he comes to the SEC, he would have to do that on a yearly basis. I don't see it.

I could be dead wrong. Would not be the first time.

He's had enough success to drag Baylol off the mat in the cow10 lately and become someone that cant be overlooked. I'll give him credit for that. He's also sparked enough interest for them to make huge upgrades to the stadium. Maybe some of that is piggy backed off of having a Heisman qb recently. I've heard having a Heisman is worth about $35 mil to a program.

Would love to see a study breakdown of that.

Anyhow, like I said, if could get talent, he can coach them I think. And lets face it, if you can win in Waco, theres a lot to be said about that.

No argument there.

Not going anywhere in 2014. He'll stick around to open the new stadium he worked his butt off to get BAYLOR STADIUM that puts him at age 58. With KD Cannon and Randall Cunningham Jr being Baylor leans, 2014 will be a top 15 class. Really see him retiring here.

Art Briles: The SEC has walked away with all the chips If this is what you read then no, he isn't carrying the flag. He's just smarter than Bob Stoops.
"I learned a long time ago that the only guy who remembers who was in second place is the one that got it. They've done a great job. They've put their brand on the table and they've walked away with all the chips. "What can you say? Until somebody beats them, that's what it's going to be."

Missouri and Mississippi State will both have new Coaches in 2014. Missouri because they suck and MSU because the NCAA nails them very hard.

I really think Mizzou sticks with Pinkel two more seasons. He has done a lot for that program. There is no talk of running him off here in Missouri.

Not sure about 2 more seasons, but it seems likely he'd at least get 1 more season after 2013, unless they just go winless to 2-3 wins or something.

Isn't he like their 2nd-winningest coach all-time or something?

I can't see Pinkel being around in 2014 either. Missouri has been on the slide for the last few seasons.
