Wow, could this ever be interesting. ESPN News does this show on Tuesday's with interviews with coaches and all talk about college football. I just happened upon it this afternoon and caught the entire ND situation as it unfolded. Right before that happened they interviewed Tubberville though and he sounded pretty confident going into the SECCG. Right before he went off he said he needed ESPN's vote to get AU into the NC game though like beating UT is just a given. I'm glad they are thinking that way.
Anyway, back on topic, they were saying that Urban Meyer would now probably be headed to ND instead of Florida. Then one of them said that he thought that Florida would now go after another coach with Florida ties in the past and it would be a good fit: Butch Davis. Wow, can you imagine the SEC East next season if they get him?
UT with Fulmer, Florida with Davis, South Carolina with Spurrier, and UGA with Richt. I don't think you could possibly put together a conference with better coaches together, much less one half of a conference. Poor Vandy and KY, though I do think Rich Brooks is a good coach and could possibly make KY into something less embarassing than they are now. But with the possibility of these 4 coaches all in the Eastern division it could be hot and heavy for the next couple of years.
