After looking at all of the teams' respective schedules, this is my prediction for how the East will shake out.

1. SEC East Champions: Georgia, 5-3, with losses to South Carolina, Arkansas, and Auburn. Victories over UT, Vandy, Missouri, Florida, and Kentucky.

2. UT, 5-3, with losses to Georgia, Ole Miss, and Alabama. Victories over Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky, Missouri, and Vanderbilt.

3. Missouri, 4-4, with losses to Georgia, Texas A&M, UT, and Arkansas. Victories over South Carolina, Florida, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky.

4. South Carolina, 4-4, with losses to Texas A&M, Missouri, Auburn, and UT. Victories over Georgia, Vandy, Kentucky, and Florida.

5. Florida, 2-6, with losses to Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, Missouri, Georgia, and South Carolina. Victories over UK and Vandy.

6. Kentucky, 1-7, with losses to Florida, South Carolina, LSU, MSU, Missouri, Georgia, and Tennessee. Victory over Vandy.

7. Vanderbilt, 0-8, with losses to Ole Miss, South Carolina, Kentucky, Georgia, Missouri, Florida, MSU, and Tennessee.

If UT continues to improve and stays healthy, I could see them potentially getting to the SEC championship game if they were to beat Ole Miss or Alabama, or if UGA lost a game I have them winning(probably Mizzou). It all starts, of course, with beating Florida.

After watching USCe and Mizzou last night I definitely feel more confident about those 2 games. The Ole Miss game will be winnable as well as long as our OL can just take a step each week. Blocking their DL will be key to winning that game. Bama at this point is the only I game I see little chance to win.

Can we win the first one before we start crowning us SEC East Champs or runner-up?

If we can't make any predictions or be optimistic in any way, what's the point of the forum?

Forum: "a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged."

I'm not crowning anyone anything, I'm frustrated because we lost but feel good about how we played, and I think we have a shot at a much improved record this year.

Our team is pretty bad if we can't win 1 even 2 games out of UF, USCe, Mizzou and Ole Miss, after what I've seen out of those teams.

The east is way down this year.
The east has been down since Tebow graduated and it hasn't helped us a lick. We're completely out of synch with the roster. It's been this way for about a decade. We need 4 or 5 classes of top 10 recruiting classes where positions of need are addressed in each of those classes so we're never without tackles, a feature back, a #1 receiver or an SEC starter caliber QB.

As long as Worley doesn't get hurt there's always that possibility we can still be in the hunt for the sec east. However, the talent between teams in the east is relatively even, minus vandy. Ky is much improved, so don't automatically count that as a win quite yet. I think we will know much more about the team after the Florida game. To me, Worley is the X factor for this team..lose him and we are battling vandy for bottom dweller status once again. my only question is how this team can improve next year with clearly our best qb graduating?

The Offensive line can't help but be better next year, Hurd will be better and we'll have Alvin Kamara. Smith, North, Pearson, Croom, and Pig will be back at wide receiver. Malone will have a year under his belt, as will Ethan Wolf and Daniel Helm.
On defense, we will keep most of our front seven and secondary. Barnett will only get better, as will Reeves-Maybin. Danny O'Brien and (I think) Trevarris Saulsberry will be back, and we'll have Kahlil Mckenzie and Shy Tuttle to go along with them. AJ will be gone, but guys like Dillon Bates will have had a year to learn the system. Same story with the Berry bros in the secondary. TK jr. will only get better, and we'll still have McNeil and Sutton.

I think the improvement on the offensive line alone will be enough to balance out losing Worley. It will still hurt though.

Agree with most. I see UT finishing third, though.

Ole Miss looked like crap against Memphis. No running game, Bo Wallace is a turnover machine, & they are very undisiplined with many penalties

We'll be battling KY & VU for 5-7 spot in the East. Georgia had a bad day.

Ga is going to have a couple more bad days. Even my mutt friends yesterday before the game was ever played that thought Tn had a great chance of winning because all they really had was a run game and not much of a Def. their words proved to be true. They sure like our OC and hope he sticks around but dislike their own more.

Not saying Ga wont win the east but it will be a struggle. They wished they had Worley.

I'm not impressed with Ole Miss. Wouldn't mark that one down as a loss just yet.

I feel the same way. The toughest team they have played is Memphis and they struggled for 3 quarters. If Memphis had a decent offense they would have beaten them. If we have everybody healthy, I think we have a very good chance at beating Ole Miss.
