Seems like the SEC fans aside from Tennessee ( they are just mad he left ) had a deep fear Lane was going to get the Vols back on top and start snatching players from the surrounding states ( already started doing that ) . You could see this when he took a bunch of 3rd rate Vol players ( face it tennesee is really in the dumps talent wise ..cept for 3-4 guys ) and went toe to toe with National Champion Bama and just outcoached Saban that day . Also Florida who was supposed to steamroll the lowly Vols , had a very hardtime doing so ...

I think the SEC is breathing a heavr sigh of relief they don't have to deal with Kiffen and crew getting Tenn back on top , now they just take little potshots at the guy . The whole thing is pretty retarded and childish if you ask me
