Entertaining read and some potentially compelling arguments, but I still reject it. Definitely one of the stronger counter arguments against the sec though.

Without wasting time to read that article, am I correct in assuming the SEC's weak out of conference schedule is mentioned, in addition to the SEC's bowl record...even though in many cases our #7 team might be matched up against another conference's #4 team?

The author of the article also wrote this book. He may be moderately biased against the SEC.

You see, when Wake Forest beats Vandy, or when Maine beats Mississippi State, it counts exactly the same as Florida destroying concensus #1 Ohio State in the BCS Championship game.

I'm always shocked no one ever seems to notice this.

I always notice. I believe the Chicken Bowl is ACC #2 vs. SEC #5. It's the only way to get an even matchup.

I disagree. The author doesn't even mention the overwhelming reasons why the SEC is the most dominate conference, and why it isn't even close.

Its really simple. Recruiting and resources. The SEC cares more about college football than the rest of the country, so it spends more, and recruits better players. Plain and simple.
