The SEC has been the most successful conference in the tournament this year by going 10-2 up to this point. The Pac-12 is second going 9-3.

The SEC has 3 teams (out of 5 teams selected) in the elite 8 and is the only conference with more than 1 team in at this point. They are also guaranteed to have a final four team as, unfortunately, 2 of the SEC teams have to play each other (South Carolina and Florida).

The ACC was the most heralded conference but has gone 8-8 and of the 9 teams selected into the tournament only 1 remains. One wonders if Arkansas would have held onto their lead down the stretch if the elite 8 would currently be half SEC.

I am happy to see this level of success from the SEC and hope that it improves the reputation of the conference in basketball next year.

USCjr kicked it into gear when it mattered and UF has found offense. Great to see those two figure it out. UK has had a very tough road, and it only gets tougher, but they have also looked much better in the last month than I thought they would.
