Can anyone other than the Gator trolls on here honestly say you didn't enjoy watching Fla. have their asses handed to them Wednesday? Honestly?

i understand how you all feel. watching a team you hate lose brings a certain level of enjoyment

but, the sec thing is really what upset me the most about the loss.

i've read so much from various places about the sec being overrated this season and the main source of evidence being used is the sugar bowl.

in the long run, it doesn't matter. it will have no lasting effect beyond that night. not on the recruiting trail and not for the 2013 season and beyond. and the league's street cred isn't going anywhere, especially with a bama win.

but, i hate when people try to run down the league and worse is when my school is used for evidence.

All this SEC dominance hasn't worked out well for Tennessee.. It does no good for these teams around us to win titles and championships, just makes things harder.. Screw them.. I hope they all lose...

Hope Bama beats ND by about 40 points!

Also, every sports announcer in the US hates the SEC and loves ND, which makes a big Bama win even better!!

Need to keep the NC in the SEC even if it is Bama!

I want to be in the best conference in the nation. I want to compete at the very top of that conference. We have the facilities, the history, the tradition. If we don't have the will and guts to compete, then lets move to the MAC where it would be easy, and quit pretending.
As we say in the Tennessee mountains if you can't run with the big dogs then say under porch.

Well we should join the ACC grow a pair man. If its easy then everyone will do it. Why are you VOL fan so afraid of competition. I say go BAMA I would rather play the national champ every year stop trying to take the easy way out.

What are you talking about? You're missing the point.. I'll repeat it again so maybe this time you can understand it.. It does no good for these teams around us to continue to win titles and championships....

And maybe you would understand my point. Stop worrying about your competition play UT football. I get what you are saying you want it easier. I'm saying that is weak. You want to play NC State, Duke, Kentucky, and Memphis week in and out so you UT looks good. Playing a tough schedule makes your team better. Sadly Tennessee is the only SEC fan base that hopes the SEC looses all of its bowl games.

Hey guy if it helps you feel better to cheer for the teams we compete directly against, then by all means go right ahead.. It doesn't help them one bit though.. So i could care less.

There is alot of that going on this post-season. SEC fatigue has hit the nation and everyone is loving it when an SEC team loses.

Apparently, not all SEC fans are like the ones posting on here who want our SEC rivals to lose their non-conference games. Watching the A&M vs. Oklahoma game last night, the Aggie fans started the S-E-C S-E-C chant when they started putting it on the Sooners.

Personally, I am a conference-pride person and I have always been that way, even when UT was winning. Rooting against conference rivals in bowl games is for butt-hurt types that ascribe to the notion that misery loves company.

I view this a bit differently.

First of all, most everyone outside the south, views us as ignorant and dumb hicks, inbreeders, uneducated, toothless, poor, moonshiners and our women are fat and ugly. One idiot in PA seriously ask me if most of our roads were paved yet (reaction withheld). This little old lady from Michigan ask me if we had managed to get everyone running water yet. Both were dead serious.

This laughable misconception of our part of the country, nonetheless, makes my blood boil. I can deal with some ignorance, but when other schools fans hurl insults at our country and way of life, you better believe I am for the south, no matter who it is and since our major conference is the SEC, that keeps me with them during bowl season, all of them.

And, the two worst ones are Oregon and ND. There is an honor and respectability that southerners possess and it is found no where else. With that said, I hope Lacy and Yeldon run right over the top of Teo and win by 40, for the league and the south.
