I see where ESPN/SEC Network is sending correspondents to all 14 schools to be on location for the launch.

We've set up an organized "launch party" to be filmed live at a few locations on campus.

Are y'all not doing the same?

I would have assumed you guys were made aware of this and had something in mind. Have any of you seen camera crews on campus yet?

Nothing like that here. It's a network, not a championship

Am I the only one with a fear that after a few weeks this will be the Crimson Tide Network during football season and the Big Blue Network during basketball season?

From a BR Article:

The SEC Network debuts with a three-hour live show, SEC Now, which is the network equivalent of SportsCenter. A shorter version will air every night with news and interviews of some of the top personalities in the conference. Thursday's show will feature live shots from all 14 campuses; appearances by Peyton, Eli and Archie Manning and Shaquille O’Neal, among others; an interview with Nick Saban; and more. Much of the assembled talent—from anchors Dari Nowkhah, Maria Taylor and Peter Burns to on-air personalities Brent Musburger, Joe Tessitore, Tebow, Marcus Spears, Greg McElroy, Booger McFarland, Kaylee Hartung, Paul Finebaum and more—will be on display together for the first time.

Also saw that SCAR, Arky are doing something similar.

Looks like its a good way to individually promote your program right off the bat with the new Network. Makes since for us and SCAR to have the limelight since we'll be the first televised live sporting event to take place.

I lol @ the slight against TAMU. It's true that we'll go on camera and yell if you promise us a t-shirt, Dr Pepper, and a glimpse at Samantha Ponder.

With that being said, it's free advertising. I would have thought you guys would have wanted to put on a better show.

Guess not.

Considering you have been in the SEC for a grand total of two years, I would think your program would need that free advertising. UT on the other hand.....

Don't turn this in to something it wasn't intended to be. It's childish and unbecoming.

I agree with you. The people who are being negative towards you seem to forget that the Vol's have sucked *** for the last 5 years.

I could see it both ways, on one hand it's nice publicity, on the other hand I think there are plenty of coaches who want to limit access at this time of year. Throw in the fact that we have the one and only open practice for fans in two days...jmo.

The SEC Network should show UTs open practice...if it was one of their darlings they'd (ESPN) show it on 3 channels

I do not have the impression that this premiere is intending on going to broadcast any school's football practices live today. More so, just a few brief comments from school authority figures: IE Presidents, AD's, maybe some Football Coaches ect ect. Then they'd throw in live shots of the various student bodies and alumni celebrating the launch and do a quick preview of some of the featured programming notes for each specific school they're at.

Don't think this was a showcase to broadcast football practice at all.

If they told the coaches prior, "hey we want to broadcast your practice on launch day" I'd imagine Sumlin would be cool about it and then strictly run warm up drills in shorts followed by putting the offense in the Veer for 10 minutes before calling it a day.

Watched Finebaum on the SEC show on ESPN yesterday and he is already doing what he does on his radio show....which is down all the other teams in the SEC except Alabama. He was putting down Tennessee for pulling out the win against SC and saying it was unthinkable that SC could lose that game. Why is the SEC network going to allow this Alabama homer to continue his crap??? If he continues, he will get an earful from the SEC fans.
