Did anyone notice the interplay between one of the female officials and the Kentucky coach during the game with MS State? It was very noticeable if you paid attention. This official appeared to take the relationship with the coach to a personal level. I think this official made calls to benefit Kentucky in the last part of the ballgame. She was on the floor again in the Tennessee game with a male coach and the head of officials. She and the Kentucky coach did not approach each other this night; however, she appear to relay messages through another male on the Kentucky bench. I might have though I was being paranoid except that after an exceptionally bad call that earned her a discussion with Pat she return to the Kentucky end of the floor and exchanged a look with the male that appeared to be the go between that plainly looked like a relationship extisted that should not be between an official and a coach. Is it just me or did anyone else see this?

I didn't notice. My screen was covered with slobber from screaming at some of the officiating. I'll have to check that out when the full replay comes up. I'm still trying to figure out this picture. I missed this action somehow.

Really now? Its one thing to complain about bad calls. Its completely different to attempt to read emotions of the refs and notice that one is communicating (her fees) with the opposing coach through another referee.

This reminds me of the conspiracy theory that the referee pointed the Alabama players to the football after Lincoln's kick was blocked. I'm not saying it isn't a possibility, just trying to get you to realize that maybe its a bit of a stretch.

Didn't watch the Miss. St. game just the Vols game. I could not believe some of the things going on. They were running over each other with no calls but get called for minor bumps. Can't wait for NCAA's to start to get officals from other conferences.

I didn't see the game, but I've always said it's all fun and games until the officials start dry-humping the coaches.

Basketball doesn't do conference officials.

There were some bad calls in the tourney. One Kentucky girl ran through Manning for a steal. Early in the game Manning tried to go up for a rebound and couldn't because a player was holding her arm tightly. The play was right in front of Brian. Manning got hit in the throat and turned and looked at Dee and held her hands up as if asking where was the foul call. Dee shook her head no and Manning waved her off implying your stupid. I thought Dee would explode. She almost gave her a technical and was yelling at her all the way back down the court. Alicia didn't even bother to look at her again. Glory was getting hammered at the end of the game and they wouldn't call it but when she started letting them have it back, they run in and yak in her ear half way down the court. We got calls also. Kelly walked big time on one layup and I saw a few more no calls on fouls and walks also. Dee, Brian and Lisa are supposed to be the best, but they fell way short in this game. As soon as the officials walked out before the game, I heard several comments around me saying we were in for a rough night since Dee and Brian were there. I saw bad calls all tourney long and they were involved in a lot of them. I'm not just talking about the UT games either.

My post stated the official did not approch the Kentucky head coach on Sunday like she did on Saturday. She held her coversation with another coach on the Kentucky bench. I did not refer to another official passing a message.
