Here's the latest updated Sagarin ratings for the SEC teams. In parenthesis is the implied betting line on a neutral field.

3. Alabama 93.97 (+6)
6. Georgia 92.02 (+4.5)
10. LSU 88.26 (+0.5)
12. Tennessee 87.70
15. Ole Miss 86.13 (-1.5)

16. Texas A&M 84.69 (-3)
25. Mizzou 79.26 (-8.5)
36. Auburn 77.64 (-10)
37. Arkansas 77.47 (-10)
38. Kentucky 77.13 (-10.5)

41. Florida 75.47 (-12)
47. South Carolina 72.23 (-15.5)
57. Miss State 71.63 (-16)
110. Vanderbilt 60.61 (-27)

Sagarin has not liked Georgia nearly as much as the media this season. They fell to #6 (from #4 the week prior) after a win versus Mizzou.

We are currently the 4th rated SEC team (up from 5th last week). Sagarin thinks we've gotten a lot better as the season has gone on, and we are in the top 10 on their "Recent" score.

Mizzou would be an 8.5 point underdogto us on a neutral field according to Sagarin. Home field is typically considered to be worth 3 points, but given how poorly we've played on the road vs home, I suspect it's more this season. Implied betting line should probably be something like Tennessee -4 or -3.

The Florida loss continues to look worse as the season goes on, but the A&M win looks better. Sagarin also thinks Alabama is a playoff caliber team.

While I like Sagarin for its track record and ease of use, the quant polls are all over the place this season. FPI largely agrees with Sagarin at the top, also throwing Georgia at #6. However, Massey has Georgia at #2.

Game against Mizzou is going to be critical. We have a legit shot at a 10-win season if we win. While I was in the "we probably can't beat Georgia" camp a few weeks ago, I think we have a shot now; albeit it's going to be very difficult.

I can’t figure Mizzou out. They looked pretty middling against KState, winning on a 63 yd field goal and against KY where they took advantage of a trash performance by Leary. But they played better against UGA than I expected. If Milton has another good game and Slaughter steps up, I think we win.

Sagarin has K State at #8, so it looks at that Mizzou win as very impressive. And their 2 losses are to #6 Georgia and #10 LSU.

I think they are a tough match-up for us. Our pass D looked pretty bad against a weak Kentucky passing attack. Losing Hadden has hurt us a lot. And Mizzou has one of the best QBs in the country.

We beat Kentucky by "out-offensing" them. I don't think we can beat Mizzou on the road that way. We have to play better D to win the game.

It'll be a tough, but winnable game. I could see it going either way.

Our defense is like 21st in the last ranking. We aren't terrible versus the pass. I'm not sure what you guys are making up in your head. Mizzou runs the ball too. More than likely we shut that down. Then we need pressure. Cook doesn't like it. He threw 2 picks with pressure.

It's simple.

Ole Miss beats Georgia.
Tennessee beats Georgia.
Tennessee represents East in SEC Championship.
Tennessee beats West Division team (probably Bama).
A bunch of other teams beat other teams with 1 current loss. *cough*
Tennessee slips in the Playoff as #4 seed.
Tennessee wins out.
Tennessee is your 2023 NCAA National Champion.

The Big XII is already cannibalizing itself, need OU to beat Texas again in their championship game. Washington needs to lose to Utah and/or Oregon State, and Oregon needs to drop another. Then Penn State upsets Michigan before the latter loses to Ohio State, boom. Playoff is OSU, FSU, UT, Bama.

What's with the slob fest over LSU? Aren't they like 5-5?
The actual rating value for 10-15 are close, LSU just happened to edge those teams out for 10th. All those teams are bunched together there and are all being given very similar rankings.

It's ashame Sagarin does not give more credit to USCjr for Rattler & Beamer winning their Super Bowl last Sat

They can't help that Learly decided to have a career night.
I think most of us are saying they suck because Hadden is now out. I don't think anyone really improved outside of him.
Front gets sacks and they'll be fine again.

Remember last year? Missouri was beating UGA going into the 4th quarter. Yet we slaughtered them. They are an enigma. I am not confident in beating them. Our pass rush has almost disappeared as of late.

Problem is our pass rush has been almost non existent. 1 sack against Uk. 1 against UCONN. We were one of the best sacking teams in the nation. If we don’t get y to one if B pressure on Cook, he will light us up.

The only thing giving me hope at a 10-win season (yes I’m becoming a believer) is the fact that Milton and his receiving core have improved considerably over the last three games. On the flip side, the only thing worrying me is that our secondary has gotten much worse ever since Hadden’s injury.

I’m pretty sure, but could be wrong so don’t shoot me, that we played a lot of nonstarters on defense against UConn. As for Kentucky, the gameplan was always stop the run, which I think plays heavily into why we didn’t do as hot against them in the sack category.

It's all good brother. Teams are getting the ball out quicker right now. Which helps bc teams aren't going deep as much. It's all good. Since mizzou hasn't seen our rush, they may try deep. Good for them. We get our rush.

The morons not saying Haddy was a huge loss were wrong. But we still aren't trash garbage. We handled uconn like we should have. We have 9 picks on the year. Prolly gonna be closer to 12 to 14 on year. We are what we are. Solid on defense. Very solid.

Maybe. Missouri has the #1 rusher in the SEC. So does Banks sell out to stop him? If so, we will be in trouble. Their WRs are vastly better than UKs.

Our running attack is better than theirs. They have one guy similar to UK, so his stats are up there. I believe that the MO pass game is the bigger threat. Kudos to them for being balanced. That makes it really hard.

We should see if we could preemptively fire our coach just in case we lose Saturday. Maybe we can get him out the door by Wednesday this week. Plan ahead.

Be nice if the obvious strangleholds and assaults against our pass rush was even noticed by the officiating. It’s hard to get to the QB when your neck and head is being ripped from your body.
