Moved up a spot

11. Tennessee (3-3, 0-2 SEC; LW: 12): The Vols were off, but they moved up because of what happened while they were hanging out on the couch this weekend. Plus, almost beating Georgia two weeks ago was pretty impressive. This team still has a long way to go before it's truly competitive in the SEC, but the performance against Georgia might give the Vols some nice momentum for the rest of the season.

stupid that vandy is ranked ahead of us - not that i care... We'll settle that score soon enough.

OU, FL, UGA are better than Miss, SC, and Mizz. Plus, 10 point advantage to the Vols over the one common (but inconsequential) opponent. Neither team has beaten anybody.

Still don't get why Vandy is ahead of us. (Besides ESPN hates us) Our losses are a big one to Oregon, a medium one to Florida, and a close one to Georgia. Vandy's are a large one to Mizzou, a medium one to SC, and a close one to Ole Miss.

No way Vandy should be ahead by virtue of what theyve done vs UT but this week will change.

Yeah, saw this and said "WTF!?!"

But Ed Aschoff isn't generally very UT friendly in most anything he does.

There is no denying that the Georgia game did give Vol fans hope and something to cheer about as well as move UT a notch or two from the cellar of the SEC. However if the Vols suffer a blowout loss to the Game Cocks, they will be right back to the position of one notch above Kentucky, unfortunately. A Vol win would be absolutely huge for the program at this point in time.
