1. Alabama- The Tide took care of business against Ole Miss on Saturday, with no worry about the game. Alabama is just waiting for the LSU game.
2. Georgia- It was a crazy game in Athens, but they beat a possible 8-4 UT game and showed they have the best offense in the SEC. The defense didn't play great, but Tennessee got twenty points off turnovers, and they contained Bray. They gave up a decent amount of running yards, but it looks like Georgia is better than LSU. The USCe game is going to be a dandy.
3. LSU- Isn't kind of worrisome that TOWSON ran for 188 yards? And they had three turnovers? And that they couldn't get 400 yards? I'm starting to think LSU is overrated.
4. Florida- They had a bye week, and a huge game against LSU this week in Gainesville. I won't be surprised if Florida pulls off the upset.
5. South Carolina- A lackadasical performance Saturday is simple to explain: They wanted the UGA game. Marcus Lattimore had a big game, and expect him to have a big game against UGA. Connor Shaw again was very efficient and becoming a big threat. USC though has to shore up the back seven or UGA will beat them.
6. Texas A&M- I know, it's Arkansas and they are as dead as King Tut, but still a monster game. Manziel is the freshman of the year in the SEC, and the defense shut down Kniles Davis. I'm thinking TAMU can win eight games this year.
7. Mississippi State- MSU had a bye week and will get another one next week playing Kentucky. Can the defense stop Tyler Bray and company? I don't know.
8. Tennessee- They had a valiant effort against the Bulldogs, but the defense is awful. Rajion Neal is becoming a threat, and Tyler Bray can still sling it.
9. Mizzouri- They didn't have an easy game in the pouring rain against UCF and survived. This team just doesn't have the talent to compete in the SEC. I don't believe they can compete in the SEC this year. I'm curious to see if Pinkel can recruit the linemen at Mizzou to compete for titles.
10. Ole Miss- Hugh Freeze likes Bo Wallace and his arm, but he likes Barry Brunetti and his feet. I know Freeze likes to have a running quarterback, but Wallace is a good enough QB and deserve to keep his job. Their D played great against Bama, only giving up 3.7 ypc against Bama, which is crazy since great teams struggle to do that. Freeze is doing a good job there.
11. Auburn- They had a bye week. Auburn will get a win against Arkansas this week. Kiehl Frazier has to play better. Is Gene Chizik on the hot seat? He will if they lose to Arky.
12. Vanderbilt- They had a bye week. Could Vandy have only three wins this year? They'll beat UMass and UK, but that's it.
13. Kentucky- At least Kentucky shows heart.
14. Arkansas- Anyone who is alumni should be embarrassed by that team. I get it. The players are in a tough spot. There is absolutely no reason to quit week after week after week.
