Looking at it this way gives UT something to work towards. Also, UF and Arky are the only two teams that control their own destinies at this point so they should be #1 and #2 IMO.

this isn't very hard...
1. Florida--control their own destiny in the East with victories @ TN, UGA, LSU and Bama.
2. ARK--they're the only undefeated team in conference, with wins at Auburn and over Bama.
3. TN--wins over UGA, Bama and USC, and the strongest OOC win in the conference against Cal.
4. Auburn--wins over LSU, SC, FL.
5. LSU...will reserve total judgement til after this weekend.
6t. Bama
6t. UGA
there's nothing really separating Bama and UGA right now, except that BAma did beat Vandy.
7. USC
8. Vandy
9. KY
10. Ole Miss
11. MSU

1-3 in that order for how they beat each other. I'll move Arkansas up accordingly if they get by USC, UT, and LSU. LSU may be the most talented, but they've lost more games than the top 4.

I really don't think there is much separation between them right now. I thought Florida was significantly better after the game at Neyland, but since then I think UT has improved and gotten the offense more in sync whereas Florida's problems have gotten worse, i.e. non-existent kicking game, penalties, turnovers.

Play that game this weekend and its serious toss up time.

Florida's defense is still the separating factor for me. That is a national championship unit.

 :salute: and it was the difference in the game we played in Sept. and that's all that matters.

that secondary they have, with Reggie Nelson, they are stout. the LB's are as good as anyone's and the D line doesn't suck either.

but one thing that will keep anyone in a game against UF is penalties and not being able to kick fg's to stretch a lead. UF left what, 6 pts on the feild against us and UGA? they've made 1 fg all season?

could be the fall from grace when UF gets up against a very good opponent in the SEC CG or BCS Game...

If Florida has 4th and 5 from the 25 with a half minute to go, trailing by two points, I think Meyer would have to seriously consider going for it. Hetland was something like 13 of 16 last year and this year he's 1 of 8, including some short ones. Its not a physical problem and he kicks fine in practice, they say. So it is clearly all in his head now, he's "ruined" as it were, and we need someone we can count on to not choke a game away on a chip shot.

hint: it's okay to give kicker's scholly's...they won't work as walk ons in the SEC....
