I am watching the Iron Bowl replay but am not seeing the (real or imagined) calls for Bama that are usually noted. Is this due to the attention of this game itself, others noting Bama favoritism and the league itself putting an end to it or is the league trying to set up LSU losing to Georgia and both being in the playoff?

I’m not one to believe in conspiracies. Having said that, I have seen some calls during the course of games (early in the second half and some in the first half) that actually had an impact on the out come. Some of these calls were head scratchers.

Bama's entire OL every play of the game had two fistfuls of jersey almost every play. Special teams, same thing. The zebras had no intention of making the 12 man on the field call that ended the game until the AU QB shamed them into it. They reluctantly threw the flag then and only then when he brought it to the national audiences attention. Bama got calls and got called. as usual.

I just watched the replay of that game and the press conference with Saban explaining that.

I am curios as to others thoughts.

LSU will give Georgia a beat down they will never forget.
Burrow will shred them and their cannonball RB will rip those shreds. Could be a rout but UGA's D will slow down LSU's run game for 2-3 qtrs. LSU will represent the SEC in the CFB Play-offs. Heck that's a guess. We'll know next Sat. nite What if Clemson, LSU, OSU, OU, and Utah all lose their conference championship games? Be a helluva meltdown.

Bama didn’t get the help that they’re accustomed to in the iron bowl. I’m not sure why but this is what it looks like.1575238588357.gif

On Auburn’s initial drive it was stopped by an official ruling incomplete and the pass looked complete and receiver had a knee down before his foot hit the sideline. Malzhan went berserk after the call was upheld.

I don't know if that was the right or wrong call. It looked like his toe might have touched OOB before he caught the ball, which would have made it incomplete even if he lifted it later. If they had called it complete on the field I think that would have stood as well.

We had a pretty good wildcat surprise play drawn up and the refs stopped play for no apparent reason in Tuscaloosa. Maybe the refs got it wrong in the iron bowl, but guess what.. It happens. I don't buy into Bama conspiracy or SEC cherry picking the teams they want. I buy into the fact that there is some poor officiating going on. By the way, it's a thankless job. A good officiated game is one where you don't remember the calls.
