SEC Roll Call

Let little bro have their moment in the sun. I’d like to see them make a bowl. They still ain’t beating us in the Neyland annex next month.
I'm pretty sure they will be bowl-eligible by Nov 9th if not the 2nd. Ball State, Auburn and USCe should be enough to get them to 6-7 wins they just need 2/3. Texas losing to Vandy would be a much bigger actual upset than them beating Bama.. historically Bama owns their lunch card.. but, as a team, Texas is the one team in the country so far that's shown no weakness. Their closest shave was a 35-13 over Miss State and 31-22 over Michigan. They have only trailed in a game once this season 3-0 to Oklahoma in a road game they won 34-3. Bama and even UGA have shown this year they are no longer miles ahead of everyone else.

Not happening period.

Oh it would be shocking for sure. I’m actually not as confident as you in Vandy getting to six wins. Cackalacky and Auburn won’t be gimmes. Those teams still have considerably more talent, but Vandy is playing better football. If the latter changes, they could end up with a losing record like usual.

I keep saying it. Vanderbilt has a sterling 8-3-1 record against Texas. Only two SEC teams have winning records against Texas.

I swear if Vandy pulls that upset somehow, I'm going to celebrate with a big 'ole steak and bottle of wine.

And laugh, laugh, laugh.

USCe is probably a tougher game than most but I am fairly confident they can beat Ball State and they can catch Auburn or Carolina slipping. They have beaten 2 real p4 teams this year and played Missouri close.

Vandy has played 6 games this year and not had a bad loss yet. They haven't been blown out by anyone. Their 2 losses were by 4 and 3 points. They are a team that hangs in and capitalizes on their opponents' mistakes. They have thrown 1 int and lost 1 fumble this year. Auburn (9 int, 6 fumbles lost) and USCe (4int 8 fumbles lost) are taking southern hospitality to a new level this year giving the ball to their opponents . Ball State is the responsible guy in the room here with 7 ints and 1 fumble lost. If Pavia is healthy Vandy wins 6-7 games this regular season.

That service academy offense wont work vs our defense though a few years ago it would have driven us nuts. Lucky for us Pavia is a glorified RB not a WR.

First off the last time Texas and Vandy played a few things were true that are not today.

Vandy was a good football program that won 80% of its games. (Vandy and texas played their 'series between 1899 and 1928)
Bowl games and color TV did not exist
Helmets were made of leather for a good chunk of that time and offensive linemen weighed 190 tops.
Football tickets cost around $3 last time they played.. which is insanely high and probably explains the great depression the next year.
There is unlikely to be anyone alive that remembers those games because the average person in attendance would be 100+ years old. anyone still alive would have been like 3.

So your stat is pointless. They weren't even playing the same game back then.
