Even though the goal is 6 wins for the bowl birth I'm more worried about who are they better than in this conference. There are 3 groups. I felt their goal was to be easily better than the bottom feeders and equal with the middle of the road group. That would likely equate a 6-6 season at the least.

Let's throw Bama, Georgia, SC, Florida, A&M and LSU out of the mix. Even though they almost beat Georgia and can beat SC, I'm not concerned THIS YEAR with how they stack up against these 6.

IF yesterday wasn't a fluke and this offense has finally got things rolling a little, I think it's obvious they're ahead of Vandy, Kentucky and Arkansas (who struggled more against Florida than UT). Those 3 are the only true bottom feeders I see.

The middle right now is Miss St, Ole Miss, Auburn and Mizzu. UT has had a much tougher schedule so far and you could really say they've proven more than Miss St and Ole Miss. Mizzu hasn't played anyone but they do look good, as does Auburn who has 2 nice SEC wins but nothing really to brag about. So rank them however you want, but yesterday's performance shows UT is close to the top of the middle of the pack.

That is a successful season in my opinion. Next year we'll worry about the big boys (who UT looked pretty decent against 2 of them). GBO

I know it sounds like the season has ended, but I'm saying they are right on track for a successful year.

I am not worried about the Vanderbilt or Kentucky game. That puts us at 5 wins, but out of Alabama, South Carolina, Missouri, and Auburn, which one of those do we win?

I'm going with Auburn or Mzzou, I'm not on the USCe upset train yet.

I think we have a better shot at SC than the rest. The others look good. SC looks sloppy right now

I'm still not sold on Mizzou being a really good team. Remember last year when miss st started 7-0, then lost their last 5 games of the season? Mizzou hasn't played a ranked or great team yet. Let's see how they do against better teams.

After being in Neyland last year during the Mizzou debacle.....I really hope we destroy them.

But they are looking 10x better this year.

I think we go into every single game for the remainder of the season, playing with a chip on our shoulders...with swagger. And that alone, gives us a chance to compete going into the fourth quarter of all the remaining games.

FL, SC 5,6 Up with new QB, -- SC isn't as invincable as last year
Aub, 7 up good talent and now a good coach
Mizzou, TN 7, 8 up sharply, -- because of Losses, playing much better each week
Ole Miss, Arky, 10, 11 Down sharply, down slightly after tough games
VD 12, Down Sharply, not last years team, especially on D, another D for distractions
MSU 13, -- playing hard but lacking talent
KY 14, Up, they are playing better each week (FL & SC), not automatic anymore

Hunger for a Bowl game, Hunger to beat a ranked opponent, Hunger to improve each and every week at everything we do.

BooM!

Next week we find out alot about Mizzou as they play a banged up GA on the road.

FL vs LSU...Sorry Murphy, it's not called death valley for nothing

USCe at Arky, nice road game test for the gamecocks before a nightmare trip to Neyland

AL at KY...that should tell us just how good bamer is lol

aTm vs Ole Miss, rebels continue to slide

MSU vs Bowling Green is actually a good matchup but MSU should pull away late

AUB vs W Carolina...Yawn

TN/VD bye weeks.

Those top three games should help separate the wheat from the chaff.

I saw Mizzou play Candy last night, and they tore Candy up. They will be tough to be in their house.

My initial thoughts were that injuries would wear them down by the time we play them. They are one of the few SEC teams with worse depth problems than us.

They matched well against Vandy Strength, high tempo offense vs weakness Vandy D. We will see how well their Defense can handle Gurley man next week.

I wouldn't sleep on KY, they are playing better each week and gave USCe a game last night. They played FL decent and kept Louisville close, but they are losing.

Mizzu hasn't played anyone is my only reasoning saying even with UT right now because we don't know.

UT is improving, but the competition should be, also.

was yesterday's game the new benchmark for UT, or a peak that won't be reached again?

Connor Shaw is going to present problems. Spurrier is going to present even bigger problems. imo none of the rest are slam dunks.

going to a bowl and winning it would be a successful season, but there is a lot of work to do to get there.
