ESPN has done an unbelievable job with this side of their programming and this one takes the cake so far.

Heartbreaking but amazing story. The positive ripple effects and uniting effect his tragedy had is awesome to see.

Unbelievable. This was hard to watch. The bond between Chucky and Brad (still today) is remarkable.

Hard to imagine such a terrible tragedy becoming such a positive on so many people.

Unreal film on a tragic story. That happened right as I was starting to get into college football, albeit as a ND fan for a few years. I grew up going to church with several people who knew the Gaines family and can vividly remember that injury being talked about at length the following Sunday. Man 25 years goes by fast.

It was definitely a great piece.

Man I feel bad for Brad Gaines, this obviously kind of messed him up for life. He was on Plaster's show today and he really sounds like he never really got over it.

I remember seeing pieces on him visiting CM's grave back in the late 90s and he couldn't get through the interviews then, and it looks like that's still the case.

I met Brad's mom today. She is an incredibly sweet and gracious woman. We briefly discussed the careers of Greg and Brad. She has such a great sense of humor. She still doesn't understand how she raised such tough as nails boys who played football because she said she is such a "softy."
