- Jeronne Maymon scored in doublt digits in every SEC game this year.

- Kenny Hall will not play in the SEC tournament.

- Tennessee was third in defenisve efficiency in the conference this year, 0.01 points behind Alabama and Kentucky in conference games.

- Tennessee finished second behind Ole Miss with rebounds per game at 36, first in defensive rebounds per game, and second in defensive rebounding percentage.

- Tennessee is first in free throw rate in the conference.

- With two more wins, Tennessee will have it's 6th twenty win season in seven years.

- Tennessee has not won an SEC tournament title since 1979, Don Devoe's first year at Tennessee.

I'm hoping Auburn and Ole Miss go into quadruple overtime with Ole Miss pulling out a victory.

- Tennessee has not won an SEC tournament title since 1977, with Bernard King and Ernie Grunfeld

I don't think Ernie and Bernard ever played in a SEC tournamnet, and pretty sure Devoe (vols) won the first SEC tournamnet when we started having them again. Don't remember the year.

Correct. They won a SEC regular season title and I mixed it up. Thank you :hi:

This was Devoe's first year (my freshman year) and was the 1978/1979 season.

That team ('78-79) was similar to this years team. Started slow with 1st year coach (DeVoe) and finished strong. Beat KY in the finals of the SEC TOurney for the 3rd win vs. Cats that season (probably will never happen again, at least in my lifetime). THat team went on to win the very first NCAA tourney win in UT history playing in the arena at MTSU. Lost in 2nd round to Notre Dame. I was there....

I went to Murphy Center and saw them in the NCAA also. Terry Crosby was the best defensive stopper I've ever seen. Seems like he held Ky's Kyle Macy to 2 or 4 points when Macy was their top scorer. The Vols were 6 - 6 in the regular season, and then closed with 6 consecutive wins. Great team and great memories.

What on earth did Kenny Hall do?

In regards to this matter im not sure if anything was ever released but I can remember Yancy Gates got 6 games suspension for throwing a punch... Kenny Hall, suspended 2/15, has missed 6 games already and has the potential to miss 3 more with the announcement he will not play in the SEC tourny. Not suggesting he was inolved in any violence, simply saying it had to be something of at least equal negativity to warrant his punishment.
