I'm sure this is an annual thread.

But is there any chance of changing the seeding for the SEC tournament to a 1-12 instead of seeding each division 1-6 and then cross-bracketing?

SEC East could have the 1-4 overall records, and right now there is a decent chance Arkansas could get the BYE until Friday while two of the four from the East play Thursday. It's just ridiculous.

Yeah, it's not right. I hate it, but we should be able to win right into the semi's because we will be playing all west teams the first two games.

yea i'd like to see us stick to the division scheduling, but use a total conference standing for seeding in the tourney

Exactly, even when its lopsided like this year, the cross bracket matchup takes care of it bc the heavy sided teams will be first matched against the "weaker" side teams. Not to mention we only don't like it bc it works out the way it does this year and is percieved as a negative.

I would like to see that but up the schedule to 18 conference games by playing 2 teams from the West twice every year. Rotate it where you play each team twice in a season once every three years.

Or do the permanent opponent thing like in football and have us always play Bama twice.

It kind of evens itself out there are some years where the West is more dominant though it has been a while
