I am in the middle of an email war at work over how we have a Hawaii fan/ PAC 10 fan due to the fact that they are jumping on the bandwagon. I can't talk any sense into them due to the fact I get replies like, look at Reggie and Matt, Cal beat your team this year, Hawaii has a Heisman hopeful, I am about to rip my hair out if this continues on.

ask your hawaii fan how many top-25 teams hawaii has beaten away from the islands in the last 50 years. I can probably count them on one or two fingers.

I tried with the question of look at Hawaii's season who do they play? Who have they played in the past? It doesn't suprize me you have a Heisman hopeful with the numbers you can put when facing sub-par teams all year long.

i don't care if he throws for 10 tds a game. he aint winning the heisman playing the washinton's and boise state's of the world. he's pretty good, but remember timmy chang put up ungodly numbers in that same system and he's setting the nfl on fire. :haha_oh:

Who is the better QB.

Andre Woodson, Nate Longshore, Ben Olson, or Colt Brennan

Now I know Jim Bob Cooter could of thrown for 40 tds or more playing at Hawaii.

If I had a team I would start Woodson, if you can lead UK to 8 wins and a bowl you got to be the real deal.

Longshore & Olsen are definitely the best two QBs in the Pac-10. Olsen is kind of injury prone so I think I would give the nod to Longshore between those two

Ben Olson couldn't shine booty, longshore, brink, or carpenter's shoes. Someone has been listening to that idiot colin cowheard who bases his analysis soley off the fact that olson was the #1 recruit in the country like 7 years ago. Gee that's great. Really relavant. Let's see olson complete some passes against someone besides stanford.

I'd take JD Booty and Mark Sanchez over both of them.

Olsen's got a really strong arm from what ive seen.

I dont know why they dont go ahead and start Sanchez, Booty singlehandedly lost those two games last year

Right so you watched the Utah and Rice game last year or the stanford game this year. You realize the guy has like 3 career starts and looked horrible in all but one half of all 3. And considering how Utah, Rice, and Stanford are such huge powerhouses I can see why you like him. This is Carpenter's 3rd year starting, Brink is on his 3rd year, Booty second year, and Longshore 2nd year. And all 4 of those guys are playing for coaches who actually have records of developing qbs and all 4 have MUCH better talent at WR.

Chang also threw a crazy amount of INT's -- Even for attempting 60 passes a game.

stole the words right out of my mouth

Brennan is a great QB...any way you spin it

and in defense of Hawaii, no one will play them

Long flight: Advantage Hawaii.

Beaches: Advantage Hawaii

Getting Laid when stepping on HI soil: Advantage Hawaii

they've tried to do home/home's with teams and they simply won't play Hawaii

Hawaii has a home game with Hawaii scheduled for next season...I can almost guarantee you they will pay Hawaii off

That is true. Too expensive to travel there. But, they did beat Bama in their bowl game.

Hawaii played Bama close last year as well. Goal line INT did them in, same with their Boise St. game.

So Hawaii is going to pay Hawaii off so Hawaii doesn't have to play Hawaii at Hawaii

Haha what team did you mean?

Considering Oregon St. was blown out by a below average Big East school I'll stick with the SEC.

Considering we were beat down by a 3rd-place Pac-10 team, yada yada yada...

Don't base it on one game. After last night's game, OSU is staring 9th place in the Pac-10 straight in the face.
