Sorry if this should have been in an existing thread.

So if Auburn beats USC then Cam is declared ineligible does USC get awarded the SECC?

Technically if Cam is declared ineligible LSU should have been in the game.

Would be fitting that USC's only SECC was by forfeit...

nope. they don't pull the championship until after the sanctions come down. so therefore they could even go to teh NCG without newton.

Theoretically, AU could win the SECC, the NC, and Cam could win the Heisman.... then it could ALL be taken away, including their spot in the SEC.

That would be something else. AU finally reaches the summit of college football and is then thrown off the mountain.

That's what I'm asking. If next year they declare Cam was ineligible and vacate all the wins would S.C. be declared SEC Champ because Auburn forfeited the game or would there simply be no SEC Champ for this year?

lol...USC would only have a SEC title in the books, never actually winning one. That would be hilarious.

Yep - that's what I'm trying to verify.

Have they retroactively awarded Pac - 10 championship status to the team that finished behind USC (Trojans) when Bush played (assuming they vacated all wins from that year).

Just like 1984.
1982 Georgia 6-0-0
1983 Auburn 6-0-0
1984 Championship forfeited by Florida 5-0-1
1985 Tennessee 5-1-0
1986 LSU 5-1-0

not likely. it would be listed as "vacated". jmo

Yep. Vacated wins do not count as forfeits for the team vacating them, or as wins for the opponent.... UNLESS, the ruling comes down during the season. In that case, AU would forfeit all of their wins and LSU would play in the SECCG (assuming this happens before the SECCG is played).

oh yes... haha... this would be possibly the most awesomest thing ever....

when I ask my bama buddy "who you cheering for in the Tenn-Auburn game?" he says, "I'm cheering for an earthquake."

This would be the equivalent of that.
So... Carolina makes it to the SECCG, loses, then Auburn has to vacate the win later... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHahahaha...

Carolina STILL has no SEC championship!!! HAHAHAHAHahahahahahaha.....

They can make a sign for SEC WEST champs just like ole miss....

CLASSIC

It still wouldn't be as funny. At least USCjr would have appeared in the actual SECCG. Ole Miss has that stupid banner up and all they did was tie for the division but lost on the tie breaker, so they've still never actually been to the SECCG. By their logic, UT has won the SEC east on 7 occasions.

That would be something else. AU finally reaches the summit of college football and is then buried under the mountain.

I wish that would happen. There's something awesome about Les Miles sneaking in there.
