Good. Hope Trump continues to listen to him.

You don't disagree with Heir Trump, especially not publicly.

Will be interesting to see whether Esper talked to him about this BEFORE Trump invoked the Insurrection Act, or it whether he was even asked about it beforehand.

LG there have been plenty of people in his administration that have disagreed with him and didn't get fired. If Trump was so fired up to send in active duty troops they would already be in place. Besides Trump hasn't invoked the insurrection act unless he did it within the last 10 minutes.

Yet even more proof that the undersecretary resignation was just butthurt virtue signaling. This is the one topic that should fire him up.

Right on SECDEF Esper keep our federal combat troops out of this cluster $&@?

Hopefully he is consistent in his message whether in front of cameras or the potus. It's a message that needs to be conveyed (especially now)

Name one. There are a large number of people who were fired by Trump for not rubber stamping his whims, so Esper's statement no doubt jeopardizes his job security. I read a report this morning which stated that active duty troops from Fort Bragg, NC and Fort Drum, NY are in place outside of D.C., right now.

You name 1 that was fired for not rubber stamping his whims.

There are always active duty troops in and out of the various forts and bases in the DC area. Literately every damn day.

Don't think she was fired her nomination to another position was pulled.
It was her nomination for the position that she is actively holding. I supposed she technically hasn’t been fired since the administration hasn’t gotten around to nominating her position.

That’s ok, there’s way more:

Resigned.

Jeff Sessions resigns as attorney general, at Trump's 'request'

Instead of posting names from a list that is long and getting longer, I will remind you that Trump recently fired a number of inspectors. He fired the Inspector who reported the whistle blower complaint to Congress as required by law, i.e. the complaint about Trump withholding military aid to Ukraine while insisting that Ukraine open an investigation of Biden's son. All that money voted for covid-19 relief no longer has any oversight, because Trump fired the Inspector who was supposed to monitor it. If you do not know that a large number of people were fired by Trump for not kow towing to his whims, then you are woefully uninformed.

Has Esper been fired yet?
Just reassigned to Assistant Deputy Director of Military Latrine Sanitation and Repair for some obscure military base in a country with non-potable water. Totally different from retaliatory firing.

He'll join Rudy on the KP roster at Fort BFE.
