See that hit the Arkansas player put on the Vandy punt returner?

Yeah I saw it happen. Ugly, and the ejection was well-deserved for the post-hit taunting and chest-pounding.

That hit was completely uncalled for. I hate it when the players act like that.

I like the way Franklin calmed his boys down and kept their focus in the ballgame. A hit like that can make your team lose their composure. Franklin handled the situation very well.

Franklin handled it well, unlike how he handled the UGA game.

That was the dirtiest hit I can remember seeing in a long time.

That's something that's so incredibly dirty that I can't even formulate an end to this sentence. Even assuming that this wasn't a valid fair catch signal, the idea of spearing someone in the head at ANY point in a football game is a big part of why I'm strongly in favor of the recent tightened rule enforcement at all levels.

What an f'n scumbag. Equally disgusting, most Arkansas fans seem to be defending it. Dude should be suspended for the rest of the season. I'd probably pull his scholarship seeing as he clearly doesn't give a crap about the well being of other players safety. What he did was dangerous and he could have severely altered that kids health for life. Injuries are going to happen when you play football but it's pretty screwed up when you're intentionally trying to snap someones neck or give them brain damage. Not only was the hit beyond dirty but the a-hole was actually proud of himself and taunted Vandy after the fact. The p.o.s needs to learn a lesson and sit out the rest of the year

It was a dirty hit, and I can possibly see an ejection, but anything more than that is absurd.

The only dirty part was he led with the helmet. I'm guessing he thought he timed it perfectly and made a great play, which is why he got up celebrating, not because he knocked dude out. The Vandy player didn't signal fair catch, which was obviously a big mistake. The Arkansas player mistimed the tackle. It's football.

Stick to talking about jerseys and confirming made up rumors.

He mistimed the hit. I agree leading with the helmet was dirty. But I don't think he deserves more than an ejection. The Vandy player should have called for a fair catch.

Are you kidding me?? I'm all for smash-mouth football and monster hits but not dirty football, taunting, and undisciplined trash like that.

Wade might not get a suspension but I sure as hell would bench his a** for a game or two. Its one thing to cheap shot a guy, its completely different to do so then get up and taunt the player and crowd.

BTW, your member name sucks. Way to honor one of UT's best players of all time....

Again, I think he was celebrating because he thought he made a good play. Not because the Vandy player was down.

Directly after the play...fine, I'll slightly agree with that.

But how can you justify his demeanor coming off the field, on the sideline, dealing with coaches before he was ejected, and his antics while being escorted off the field by coaches.

Dude's a punk, plain and simple, and deserves the bench.

Agree. After he was ejected, he should have just walked of, but he probably felt like he was being done wrong.

I think the refs were playing to the crowd. Would it have been dirty if he arrived 1/2 a second later when the Vandy player had the ball? He was trying to time it perfectly, as he and everyone else is taught. The Vandy player should have just called for a fair catch. He was getting drilled either way, and it's his mistake.

They don't really show it on the video, but he was high fiving people, and gave a salute before he walked off the sideline. That wasn't because he was upset about being ejected.

Uh, nah.
