Segway tours

I've never heard of it, nothing down here worthy of touring like that really. It sounds like it would be fun in the right area.

Dude, it is more fun than you could possibly imagine! I seriously didn't want to get on the thing wearing a helmet in downtown Nashville, but the group I was with insisted. It was a total blast!!!!

Well if your in Bama, I can see why riding a Segway would not be so much fun...

I did one of these for the first time in NOLA. It was a lot of fun, but I of course had to be that one person in the group that crashed. I started feeling pretty comfy on the Segway and we came upon this stretch of open road so I opened it up. Unfortunately I came upon an uneven patch of pavement and it just snowballed from there. My knee took the brunt of it and naturally I tore it open. No stitches or lasting damage but that was some awful pain. There was a guy in the group that said he was sorry it happened and he was sure he would have been the one to fall.

You joke at the helmets but I wish they had gone one step further with knee pads honestly.

Hot dogging rarely ends well. :)

A few years ago, I saw a group doing a Segway tour of the museums in downtown Chicago. They were having a great time and it makes a lot of sense because it takes too much time to walk.

We covered 8 miles in Nashville. Great point!

They are so much easier to ride than you think they're going to be.

I wasn't even hot dogging, just on a straight away and hit some bad pavement.

We had two spots where the sidewalk was closed and we had to get on the road. I was so paranoid. And feeling exhilarated at the same time. Haha

I had lots of fun doing it until that fall. I'd do it again but I'd seriously consider knee pads next time, lol.
