Selby is visiting UCONN this week. Tennessee is trying to convince Harris to take an official visit on UCLA weekend, but his father says they haven't committed to that yet.

Hat, it looks to me like the Vols are in trouble on recruiting. I can't believe BP's private life, the Daniel West deal, and BP wasting the summer AAU season in Israel has put them in this apparent position. Is it Cal (WWW), West's high school coach, or someone else with a campaign against UT? Is it that a lot of the parents of the high ranked guys have their hand out? Just exactly what do you think the problem is.

I dont think Pearl being is Israel had anything to do with anything......he won a Gold Medal, for crying out loud.....Mike Krystewski (however u spell it) coached the friggin' Olympics and won Gold, in 2008, did that destroy Dukes' program?? gimme a break......

However, I agree that something has been amiss with recruiting over the past year or so......personal life? doubt that.....we just have to accept that Tennessee is a football school, and wer'er askin' alot of Bruce to come in and change everything overnight, which he has basically done.......;)

When UT starts gettin' farther in the tournmanet, and putting more guys in the NBA, then we'll be able to recruite more elite players, like in football......

Coaching NBA superstars in the Olympics isn't even comparable to coaching scrubs in the Macabbi Games.

And what players do we have now who will be in the NBA? Hopson could leave after this year. Tyler might be a late round pick. Thats pretty much it.

I'm sorry I think that "UT has to win more and put more guys in the pros" argument is a cop out. There are plenty of coaches who haven't won big or have a bunch of players in the pros that don't seem to have the problems that have come up at UT this year. Heck, Pastner has never put a team on the floor much less gone deep in the NCAAT or put anyone in the pros. He hasn't had the problems UT has this year. Something really wrong is going on here. Not only are the highly ranked guys not showing interest in the Vols but even when it's just rumored they are quick to deny it. I can't remember any team who has had as much "no I'm not going there" as UT has had this year.

You don't see Pearl and Jones spending much time recruiting in Michigan now, do you? That should tell you something. Also, if you want to play in the NBA, how could you justify choosing Tennessee over Kentucky, UCONN, et al. Finally, whether the Pearlophiles want to admit it or not, a considerable portion of the basketball community considers Tanning Bed a clown. Don't think that doesn't resonate with some kids.

Bronzer Bruce is akin to the douchebag fathers who try to be "the cool dad." Most kids just think those guys are pathetic and should act their age and they suck as parents. College basketball players need a coach, not somebody to hang out on a boat with.

During a period when the SEC was down. Let us not also forget the he has accomplished much of this with recruits he did not bring in. He has struggled to land decent players at one of the most crucial positions in the game of basketball. Try as you might you can't refute these arguments.

Last year we struggled to even compete with Kentucky, this year they have improved and we haven't.

What about Kentucky last year? They killed us and they are only going to be better this year. Show me where we have improved?

Kentucky beat out eyes shut twice last year. Yeah, we''ve been dominant.

didn't say dominant- but we have won our share. If we played Memphis's sched what would Bruce's record be? If he cheated like Calamari what would our record be?
