Hopefully our next QB will be about team and not SELF. IT'S amazing all the returning QBs coming back for their senior season and ours jumps ship. Bama,UGA, and Clemsons QBs are returning for their final year. Butch has work to do.

Give it a break! Bray would not fit in 2013's offensive scheme and it makes no sense for him to ride the pine and let his draft stock fall further than it has fallen. He made the right decision for himself AND for UT.

Copare what those 3 are returning to and then look at the VOLS - hell I would come back if I were any of those 3.

No reason for you to get mad at Bray for doing what he thinks is best for his future. I doubt you said the same thing about Eric Berry when he left early.

And you know this how. Like butch said we fit the system to the players. At least we would have a proven QB on the team that has some play time. With real coaching who knows how Tyler would have done.

I will just never understand taking a shot at a player that wants to go earn money playing football in the NFL. It's not like there's a lifetime window

And which of those teams is replacing their coaching staff? I'll never say a guy is selfish for going to the NFL early. They're doing what they think is right for them and their families. If it's between providing for my kids or other family members or a chance at a winning season at UT with a mid-tier bowl, then I'll take my family every single time.

You have other guys playing D at all times not the same as the QB spot. One guy all the time. Plus Berry was ready. Bray had horrible coaching and if he gets on a crappy NFL team he may get even more.

He could also stay and have a bad season and not end up getting drafted at all, look at what happened to Jevan Snead from Ole Miss. I would say it is a lot riskier for his NFL future if he stays another year. I of course want him to stay, he is a good QB but that is just not the safe decision for him and his NFL future.

I also understand that a QB is more important than a DB, but that doesn't mean it's ok for a DB to leave early but it is "abondoning" his team if it's a QB who leaves.

It's not like Bray staying gives us a better chance of an SEC or National Championship....same can't be said for those other guys. They could all be in the hunt for a National Championship next year.

Bray did what was best for himself and probably the team also. Good for the new coaches to get a fresh start with a new starting QB. One that will probably be around for a few years and one they can build their offense around.

I'm ready to move on from Bray and the old staff. We haven't done anything with Bray as the starter and all you have to do is look at his record. Not stats---his won loss record. It sucked big time. Dooley and his patchwork staff each year was no better.

I'm just ready to move on and give some of our other guys a chance.

You can't compare those QB's to Bray. They all are returning to a stable coaching staff and a good team. Bray would have to learn a new offense and we have zero chance of playing for a title next year (okay, a small chance but unlikely).

Let me ask you, if you had a chance to make millions of dollars or come back to an unstable environment, what choice would you make?

Okay, so maybe you can argue he lacks character or fortitude for not accepting the challenge, but there is little upside to him returning. His stock will not improve, but could fall drastically if he has a bad year or suffers a serious injury. Look at Arian Foster, if he came out his jr. year he would have been drafted in the first few rounds. Instead, he went un-drafted. Of course, it definitely worked out for him in the end.

I'm not sure who I think is nuttier: the people ripping TB for leaving or the people that actually wouldn't want a Senior QB to come back.

Bray knew if he stayed next years draft would be filled with so much talent he would be a free agent pick-up practice squad guy like the clausen's, ainge, crompton and all those other QB's who have came an went since Manning and Tee...

Nope . . . Next year's class looks the same as this years. Completely ordinary.

You just don't get the concept of a 22-player team. One man isn't responsible for the team's record, especially given the historically inept defense.

If 1997 team (Peyton's senior year) allowed 40 points per game like this year's team did against the good teams, then the 1997 team would have won a grand total of 3 games.

I am amazed that this simple concept is so difficult to grasp.

Ride the pine? Really? Wow you really don't have a clue.

I don't see you complaining about CP, Hunter, and Sentimore; by the way what was he thinking. Will he get drafted (Sent.)??
