Was today the day that we are allowed to hand out writen offers or something?

One kid I know who i used to go to the same school as, Jordan Watkins an ESPN 150 recruit for the 2012 class, said on facebook that kids cant get written offers until they are seniors now.

The offers cannot go out until the August before their Senior year now.

Very recent rule change.

I think that the fixation stems from potential needs. We will probably be rotating into more 3-4 looks and will need ends and outside linebackers with size. We will need more talent and numbers on the outside edge, and I think that is why you see in increase in DE offers.
