No reason not to get a jump on this. As of today, here are the story lines for the Florida-UT matchup on September 16, 2006.
UT, back from the dead or still in a coma? UT should handle Air Force with ease. The game with Cal will mean a lot. If UT can win that game and carry the homefiled momentum into the Florida game off of a 2-0 start, could be a gangbuster reemergence for the Vols. If UT is 1-1 coming into the Florida game, doubts will abound ... And if UT gets to 3-0, watch out. If UT drops to 1-2, the boo birds will be out in force in the final minutes of the 9/16/06 contest.
Florida, ghosts of spread option past. Florida's offensive line is in tatters. In Spring, they looked awful. Hard to see an effective spread option with that kind of line. So, does UM abandon it for one more year, utilizing Leak as a drop back passer? Or does he look the tthe future and try to bring the offensive line along with his offensive scheme in hopes that Tebow can run it when he takes over? Is the Gatornation willing to lose four or five games on a "rebuilding" season?
